Milwaukee M18 Fuel Cordless Drill Driver Kit Flash Sale 11-14-18

Over at Tool Nut, they’re holding a one-day Flash Sale on this Milwaukee M18 Fuel cordless drill/driver kit. It comes with the 2703-20 brushless drill/driver, (2) 5.0Ah batteries, a charger, and a carrying case.

The 2703 is Milwaukee’s previous generation high-performance brushless drill, delivering up to 1200 in-lbs of max torque.

Elsewhere, the 2703-22 kit is currently priced at $279. The newest generation 2803-22 kit is also $279.

With this deal of the day, you’re saving $80 off the next-lowest price I could find at the moment, and $80 compared to the newest generation model kit. So while not the latest and greatest, $80 can buy a whole lot of power tool accessories, or in some cases a bare cordless tool.

Tool Nut says that theirs is the lowest price, guaranteed, and I can’t find any lower pricing.

Price: $199

That would be a bad deal at 199, when, like you said the new gen 3 impact and drill with a pack out case is 100 more…..

The $300 deal mentioned is on the previous generation drill and driver and swaps out one of the 5 AH batteries for a 2 AH.

Nope – 2997-22CXPO comes with the latest generation 2804 drill, not the 2704. There seems to be inaccurate copy on some websites, but the image shows the 2804, the 2997 kit comes with the 2804, and one retailer I checked with confirmed that you get the 2804.

Yes, one of the batteries is a compact one, but that can be a benefit.

For someone who just wants an M18 Fuel drill kit, the Tool Nut is a good deal on the previous generation tool. For someone that wants a deal on the new drill plus an impact driver, the Packout bundle is a great deal too.

Yeah but if you don’t need another impct driver and/or don’t use packout, this gets you 2 5Ah batteries instead of a 2Ah and a 5Ah, and saves you $100.

The trouble as has been noted by many people many times is that deals often cover stuff they don’t need, or too much stuff, like the 10pc combo kits. If somebody was in the market for just a drill, but not an impact driver, and wanted a step up from the brushless holiday deal, this might be a good choice. Especially as an entry tool, since it includes the larger batteries. Despite being a generation old, it’s still a fantastic and powerful drill, so might still be a great fit as a step above the regular brushless, but don’t need the absolute latest and greatest.

Exactly. I could see pros being interested in this drill-only combo. Such users might have already upgraded some of their other tools, or aren’t interested in doing so. A lot of readers have expressed interest in “better” drill deals, and not ones tied to combo kits, and so I thought the main deal was worth a post.
