We just received a tip about a new “special buy” bundle deal on a Milwaukee M18 Fuel outdoor power tool combo kit (thank you Oflannabhra!). Over at Home Depot, this new bundle features a Milwaukee M18 Fuel cordless 16″ string trimmer kit, and a bonus M18 Fuel blower (newest gen II model).
The kit comes with a 9.0Ah battery and rapid charger.

The string trimmer kit, 2725-21HD, typically retails for $299, although it’s currently on sale by itself for $249 at Home Depot, the lowest price I can find on the 2nd generation blower is $99 for the bare tool – a special buy right now. So, with this bundle, you save $50 off the lowest promo prices we can find right now.
This seems like a pretty good buy.
Price: $299

As part of their Black Friday thru Cyber Monday deals, Acme Tools had a $249 promo price on the string trimmer kit, and it was eligible for a free 9Ah battery. We’re only seeing a $299 price on that kit right now, which is still a good price when considering the free bonus battery, but we’ll keep checking back in hopes of seeing the advertised $249 pricing. In the meantime, the above Home Depot deal is a great value if you’ve been meaning to buy both tools.

The M18 chainsaw kit deal with the free 2nd M18 12AH battery is a great deal for getting those larger capacity batteries at a steal.

Where?

I got mine from Home Depot online. I just checked and they are out of stock on that deal.

I bought into the Ego lineup over the summer. If this deal had been available then, I may well have picked Milwaukee instead.

You have the best ope .. Milwaukee is no where near ego ..

I got this combo deal last spring and have been very happy with everything

Our only battery operated lawn/garden “tools” are the newest M18 Blower (in this bundle) and we’ve been so impressed.
Mostly use them for sidewalk and parking area leaf patrol. Quiet and even with smaller batteries last us long enough. Oh. No ear protection seems really needed either.

I bought the first generation M18-Fuel Blower along with the M18 hedge trimmer and M18-Fuel string trimmer for my wife. She enjoys working in the garden – but did not like using my gasoline engine tools: backpack blower, string trimmer and hedge trimmer. Now she complains that the M18 (gen1) leaf blower eats batteries. Yesterday she went through using 2x 9Ah and 2x 12Ah batteries and then got me to come out with my Echo machine to finish the job. She does not find that the 2 other M18 tools are such battery hogs. Maybe that’s why Milwaukee came out with the new blower so soon after they introduced the first one.

My Makita blower also eats batteries. 2x 5.0ah batteries will be done in about 5 min on the highest setting. Battery blowers have the power to match the cheaper gas blowers, but they won’t have the run-time.
But, a battery blower isn’t meant to do half an acre of wet oak leaves. It’s works well to get the leaves out of the gardens and off the driveway/patio. Then I use the mower with bagger to pick them up.

She was just blowing what the gardener’s missed – or what blew in after they were gone after their final cleanup of the year. They seem to get the lawns OK – but she’s warned them off some parts of her gardens – as they tend to sometimes be like bulls in a china shop – thinking some of her plantings might be weeds. Anyway – my old backpack engine-driven blower got everything she and they missed out to where it could be raked up.

I’m up a little late, but acme has 18% off one tool on their site up to $50. It would bring the Gen 2 M18 blower down to $81 and the dewalt 60v chainsaw down to $187. More Christmas presents!

Nice! That also “corrects” the Milwaukee string trimmer kit pricing discrepancy in their Black Friday ad.

Never mind. They changed the code to no longer work with the string trimmer kit.

Or the dewalt flexvolt chainsaw with 3ah battery to $279.
