Milwaukee M18 Fuel Saw Giveaway 2013

As part our of 2013 giveaway bonanza, we partnered with Milwaukee to give away a brand new M18 Fuel brushless saw or grinder kit to one lucky winner!

The Prize: A new Milwaukee brushless cordless saw or grinder! You can learn more about them below or in our reciprocating saw preview and Milwaukee 2013 sneak peek preview. The prize package will include the winner’s choice of tool, a charger, M18 XC 4.0Ah Lithium-ion battery pack, and carrying case.

Why? We believe these to be the best cordless saws and grinders currently on the market. They’re built with brushless motors, which means you get crazy-good power, efficiency, and runtime. As these are M18 Fuel products, you’re guaranteed to get all the latest bells and whistles.

We have been testing the new reciprocating saw and grinder (but haven’t yet gotten our hands on the circular saw), and they are everything we expected them to be.

Choices: We wanted to give you some options, so the winner will be able to choose between the new 6-1/2″ cordless circular saw, Sawzall reciprocating saw, and angle grinder. For the angle grinder, you’ll have the choice of a paddle switch or slide switch.

How to Enter: Leave a comment below with a brief note about which prize you would pick and how you would use it.

Winner Selection: (1) winner will be selected at random.

Rules: You must have a non-PO Box continental USA address. Entry period ends Thursday Jan 2nd, 2014. One entry per person.

Prize Fulfillment: Milwaukee is sponsoring the giveaway and will handle prize fulfillment.

I’d pick the circular saw. I’m in a new house and already have a list of things I want to do. The first big project will be a garage makeover with an attic lift to be installed first. Since I don’t currently have a circular saw, this would be great to have when cutting new supports for the rafters.

I’d like to have a cordless reciprocating saw to help clean up scrap on my parents’ property. They’re tired of looking at it and I’ve been promising to help remove it for too long.

I would choose the 6.5″ circ saw. I need to cut out subfloor in my house and replace it with new plywood. A circ saw would be my primary tool for this project and the Milwaukee brushlesss circ saw would be so awesome to use for this!

Me, I’d really want that slick grinder – I’m always hatching up new hot rod ideas, and grinding off paint from old parts and body panels goes part and parcel with it…

    …but I’d probably choose the saw as it’s one tool I don’t have. 🙂

Man that sawzall would be great, im a volunteer firefighter/ first responder, thats perfect for the truck tool box, come up upon an accident, that is the tool of choice to cut a frames, b frames, glass, roofs. The biggest complaint with the current models is of course runtime, looks like this may have taken care of that problem. Thanks Tool Guyd and Milwaukee for the opportunity!

I would like to be considered for the circular saw the only saw I have is a 5 1/2″ Ryobi and it is tough to cut 2X4’s and such. both my garage and enclosed back porch have water damage and rot along the sides of the roof, so this would be handy at cutting out the damaged wood along the edges and putting in new plywood. The front porch need some new stringers as one side is cracked and held together by a metal bracket for now. also on the back porch we wanted to cut a hole in the roof for a skylight to take advantage of the natural day light. I don’t see how I would be able to do this without this saw as I am not really motivated to go through all that with my Ryobi. I need something that can power through it. I think if I won it, that will give me the motivation to tackle it and get it all done.

thanks for the chance to win

Many times when I am cutting around a door or window casing I am reaching overhead and a corded tool gets heavy and the cord keeps catching on things. The freedom to climb up on a ladder and to start cutting without moving an extension cord is a big plus.

They made off with my whole gang box as well as 4k+ in scrap from the job. Its hard enough to keep good tools. I had a full Milwaukee m18 set, but I guess everyone has to start at square one again. I would definitely choose the grinder with paddle switch, i end up using grinders everyday at work (lozier, largest store shelving manufacturer), and having a cordless electric grinder in my tool cart would be a godsend and a magnificent time-saver, plus having it be a milwaukee would be an added bonus!

I pick the 6 1/2″ circular saw. It would be a great addition to the Milwaukee tools I currently own. I would use it to help my parents with some built in cabinets. That’s the problem when you have the tools and knowledge, the project list never ends.

It’s simple: I use a lot of milwaukee tools daily in my remodeling construction business. I use a milwaukee 4.5″ corded grinder right now to carry out my daily routine of grinding down concrete and anchor bolts getting them ready to accept mud sills for perimeter foundation walls. If I had a cordless unit, I’d be able to carry out that task at least twice as fast, and be able to do it at a jobsite that didn’t have power readily available. I use milwaukee tools because I believe in them, and they’ve never let me down — they are heavy duty, and I use them for heavy duty tasks because they’re the best in the business.

I would like to own the Sawzall. These are designed to be used in uncomfortable, inaccessible places where no other tool works as well. I would find it most helpful in disaster recovery/rebuild situations where corded power is oftentimes not as plentiful as needed for the work to be done, so a cordless tool such as this would not figure in on taking turns using the extension cord.

At least once a week I’m up on a ladder after stretching out 50 to 200 feet of extension cords so I can run the grinder to remove some stone that was installed too high, or too far (N,S,E,W) so it’s in the way of the adjacent siding installation.
