Today (12/17/15), Home Depot has an interesting deal of the day – a Milwaukee M18 compact hammer drill and impact driver combo kit, plus an M12 Bluetooth speaker kit. That’s right, this bundle gets you into Milwaukee’s M12 and M18 cordless power tool platforms.
(This deal was first available on 12/2/2015, and made a reappearance on 12/17/2015 with 2 other deals, seemingly as a last-chance deal of the day offering.)

The $199 price for this Milwaukee 2697-22CTB combo bundle is pretty good, but the inclusion of the Bluetooth radio kit makes it a much better deal.
Milwaukee’s M18 drill and impact combo kit deal is still on sale for $149. This Deal of the Day kit swaps in a hammer drill for the drill/driver, and also gives you a M12 Bluetooth speaker and an M12 battery, for just $50 more.
The Bluetooth speaker usually sells for $59-$69 (via HD), and M12 batteries for $39 each, less if you buy a 2-pack. Since the M18 charger is a multi-voltage M18 and M12 charger, you only need just the one for charging both sizes of batteries.
Price: $199, reflecting advertised savings of 40% ($130)
The M18 hammer drill and impact driver kit is typically priced at $259.

Looks like another great deal from HD – I just bought a 2573-20 impact driver – bare tool for $96.14 on Black Friday – at Zoro and thought it was a good deal. This kit adds a hammer drill, charger, batteries etc. for only about $100 more – wow!

Looks like theyre really trying to shed those bluetooth speakers

“That’s right, this bundle gets you into Milwaukee’s M18 and M18 cordless power tool platforms.”
That should probably be ‘M12 and M18’
Stuart
Whoops, thanks!
I debated about whether it should be M12 and M18 as I usually wrote, or M18 and M12 since the deal focuses on the M18 kit , and apparently somehow arrived at M18 and M18.

Hi all,
Can anyone help me understand what the difference is between the two HD combos being offered? The 3-tool combo featured here seems identical to a 2-tool combo being offered for $149 (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Drill-Driver-Impact-Driver-Combo-Kit-2-Tool-2691-22/100650378?quantity=1).
Besides including the Bluetooth speaker “tool”, I’m noticing a part number discrepancy; 2607-20 M18 1/2 in. compact hammer drill/driver vs. the 2606-20 M18 1/2 in. cordless lithium-ion compact drill/driver offered in the 2-tool kit. Any help is appreciated!
Stuart
One is a hammer drill, the other isn’t. The hammer drill has a vibratory mode for when drilling into masonry with appropriate drill bits.
As mentioned in the post, there’s one more difference – this kit also comes with an M12 battery.

Thank you!

Ugh, another thing Bosch doesn’t have – a 12V /18V combo charger.

I believe you can use the code THDTOOL20 to get an additional $20 off this kit, bringing the price down to $179.99.

I wonder if home depot will carry the one key versions. I recently picked up an M12 fuel kit, and find the mode button very useful. I think the one key could be worth it for the different customizable modes. Looks like they’ll be available late January.
Jason
One Key is only going to be on the High End brush less tools.

I was in HD last week and saw that the M18 drill/impact driver kit increased in price to $179 (although they are advertising it as a price drop from $199). I just clicked the link in your post and it also shows a price of $179.
Victor
As of right now, the same kit goes on monthly deal list at $179.10.
Valid till the end of January
