Milwaukee Power Tool Accessory Set Deals at Home Depot for Black Friday 2024

Home Depot has a brand new Milwaukee 60pc power tool accessory assortment for the 2024 Black Friday and holiday shopping season.

The new accessory set, model 48-32-5162, can be found in the tool deals and gift centers in stores, and is available for purchase online.

Milwaukee 60pc Power Tool Accessory Set with Packout Organizer Case

It features 3 different accessory sets, each in a Packout-compatible case, and is bundled within a Packout low profile organizer.

This set comes with: 6 SAE impact sockets, a 14pc drill bit set with 12 sizes including 3/8″ and 1/2″, and a 40pc screwdriver bit set with insert bits, 2″ power bits, nut drivers, bit holder, and a socket adapter so you can use the sockets with an impact driver.

The parts list is actually a bit compelling. The drill bit set includes larger sizes and also duplicates of 1/8″ and 3/16″, the impact sockets covers a nice range of sizes, you get a full range of Torx bits, and there are no slotted bits at all.

I feel that this set has a lot of value, and is filled with drill bits, screwdriver bits, and sockets of the type more users are going to be likely to use.

It’s listed as a special buy for $74.

As an aside – I mentioned having discovered this set in September, and that I was 99.9% certain its holiday price would be lower than the $140 it was selling for at the time. See: Avoid Paying Full Price for Tools – Maybe Wait Until the Holidays.

Objectively speaking, this is a great buy if you want a Milwaukee Packout-centric power tool accessory kit. Once you start using up the consumable parts, you can replace them with other Packout-compatible drill and screwdriver bit sets, or pop in new bits.

If you don’t want all 3 accessory sets and the included Packout organizer case – which doesn’t include parts bins since the customizable cases are already nested inside – there are plenty of other holiday deals to look at.

Should You Buy it?

To be perfectly clear, this is not a “everyone should run out and buy this set, it’s the ultimate deal” type of promo. This is a “special buy” type of deal on a very varied and well thought out assortment.

If you don’t need the sockets, and would rather carry smaller cases than a Packout organizer, there’s also the 74pc screwdriver bit set ($19.97 right now), and you can complement it with an impact-rated 15pc drill bit set ($19.97) or 23pc drill bit set ($29.97).

The Shockwave 25pc set ($14.97) is worth bringing up, but I think the 74pc set is a much better value for $5 more, unless you really want the smaller Packout-compatible case with clear lid.

It seems to me that the 6pc impact socket set is the only hard-to-substitute component. The closest assortment I could find is a 6pc set with an adapter for $29.97 that gives you 5 sockets from 3/8″ to 5/8″, rather than 6 from 1/4″ to 9/16″.

My local stores each have between 10 and 22 sets in stock, and Home Depot’s website says there are over 2100 available for free shipping. There’s no rush – this is a “think it over” kind of deal.

As for the Packout-compatible aspect of these cases, here’s an example of how everything fits together. Shown here are different bit sets in a compact organizer, and not the accessory sets included in this deal.

Packout-compatible accessory cases also fit into the larger low profile organizer.

I just want an M18 LED…I could use it! And some empty packouts to put screws, connectors, WAGOs, wirenuts…

I’m genuinely considering buying this kit solely because of the drill bit set.

I haven’t found a similar set that actually includes a 1/2” bit. For some (money-driven?) reason, Milwaukee doesn’t offer many sets with a 1/2” bit like DeWalt does

Considering for the same exact reason, glad I’m not the only one!

I needed a 1/2 bit and it was infuriating – ended up better to buy something like this than just the bit itself.

I wish more of these came with hex bits but I get it’s a minority.

That’s one of the reasons I really like Dewalt’s $10 drill bit deal – https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/dewalt-drill-bit-deals-holiday-2024/%3C/a%3E . I can’t bring myself to buy just a 1/2″ bit for anchors and similar when I can get an assortment and case to store it all for less money.

Milwaukee updated their smaller assortments a few years ago, doing away with the 1/2″ size.

I assume that it came down to a choice – take the 1/2″ drill bit out, or raise the price.

I’m sure Home Depot is the biggest seller for these drill bit sets, in which case I’d think they’d go for the lower price at least 9 times out of 10.

Good point about set pricing. However, in a perfect world, Milwaukee would’ve folded that into the revamping of their bit sets when the rolled out the PO-compatible cases, and no one would’ve picked up on it.

I have a similar DeWalt drill bit set with a 1/2” bit, however, since I primarily use my M12 Surge (quieter for working in my house) I reach for bits with a 1/4” hex shank 95% of the time.

I was in both Lowe’s and Home Depot this weekend. There are some great drill bit and blade (OMT, Jigsaw, Hex Bits, and Drill Bits) assortment from Bosch and Craftsman at Lowe’s. There were some Milwaukee deals at HD. Both had some good DeWalt deals.

I like this Milwaukee deal, but I think there enough “a la carte” deals that you can fill out your own

On a separate note, I am curious to what good Harbor Freight deals, as well. They are sometimes a great source for mid-grade consumables – beater drill bits, OMT Blades and Recip blades being things that I like to get there.

The harbor freight black Friday ad was leaked if you want to look through it. I’m eyeing that:$10 tiny toolbox

You may want to go sooner than later if you want any of these lil tool boxes. They recently started popping up on ticktock & are going viral with the masses, especially the ladies. So they are flying off the shelves right now and might not make it to the $9.99 BF sale. Just a heads up.

Milwaukee has excellent impact sockets (the most readable markings currently available), but having such a random selection is an odd thing to include to me, though I’m sure some use cases exist for just those sizes.

I’m assuming these are for use in construction tasks, rather than automotive, where lag screws and structural bolts often require SAE tooling.

Have milwaukees bit holders gotten better? Can bits be removed without other tools or straining muscles and risking tearing skin off fingerz?

IME, the standard Milwaukee bit holders are pretty middle of the road in that they are mostly ok in removing bits but the tradeoff is that they also sometimes leave the bit stuck in the fastener. This has been true for a dozen or so samples I have, with the most recent examples purchased late last year. In their favor, I’ve found that they hold bits without much play and spin with negligible runout, better than average I’d say.

90%, I instead use the Milwaukee locking bit holders which solves both issues. They function just like the Wera Rapidaptors and partially eject the bit.

I haven’t had a problem using mine with small Torx bits. They’ve changed a little over the years – how old is yours?
