Home Depot Tool Deals of the Day 5-22-23 Hero

Home Depot launched two new rounds of tool deals.

First, they have new tool deals of the day, featuring Milwaukee, Dewalt, Ryobi, and Ridgid offerings. These deals of the day end at 3am ET 5/23/23 unless supplies sell out sooner.

The selection is not entirely unique – many of the deals are repeats from last week’s deal of the day – but there are enough new ones it’s worth skimming through the page.

Next, they also have new Pro tool deals of the week, ending at 3am ET 5/29/23 unless supplies sell out sooner.

Home Depot’s Pro specials of the week largely feature Milwaukee cordless power tools, accessories, and hand tools, plus a selection of Gearwrench mechanics tools and Ryobi cordless tools.

There’s also a Bosch horizontal/vertical rotary laser “complete kit” for $889. Other retailers have it for $960 to $1049.

You have more time to think about the Pro deals, but be sure to note inventory levels of any deals you plan to consider.

While on the topic of Milwaukee tools – I got emails this morning from Acme and ToolNut that the M12 pruner is now available for pre-order:

Bad timing for a seasonally dependent tool. I suppose fall may be peak pruning season but april or early may is when most ope gets pushed and sold.

ToolUp has one of the better deals going right now, where you buy a DeWalt 5Ah Powerstack battery starter kit $289 and you get a free tool (or $299 for the 1/2″ impact DCF891 bundle).

    https://www.toolup.com/search?keywords=dcbp520c

The aforementioned DCF891 is $249 as a bare tool, so for an extra $50 you get a 5Ah Powerstack and charger. They also have the FV Advantage and Power Detect stud and joist drills as an option, which are $279-$299 tools on their own and an even better deal.

That’s a great deal, and the 891 is one hell of an impact wrench. I have the older model, the 894. I’d say it’s a straight-up replacement for a standard 1/2-in pneumatic gun. It will handle 95% of auto fasteners. The 891 is nearly twice as powerful in the same size package.

I too have the 894 and have been waiting for a deal on the 891 to upgrade – though as you said the 894 is sufficient for 95% of my needs. This may be the one I have been waiting for. I’ve had it in my cart for 3 days now, just need to pull the trigger. This way I could relegate the 894 to my camper in case I need to change a tire on a road trip.

I’ve been eyeing the Ryobi 2 sander kit from previous SBOTDs but it was sold out when I checked at 2 am PST (up for the newborn). SBOTD is refreshed at midnight. Maybe they had really low stock of that deal…

I was unaware Ridgid had one of those Battery Powersupply things… If this is a new trend going through the Tool industry, I really like it!

I bought the DeWALT DCB094K due to the ToolGuyd article, and I absolutely love it. It both recharges mobile devices, as well as charges Tool batteries in the inverse… It’s perfect that way!

It actually makes me very happy to see other tool companies making these devices. The SBD ones may not have a Power Socket on them, but I like how the TTI brands are incorporating one in there. The push toward integrating big tools, and little mobile standards, really shows a direction of progress that I like!

Same here, which is why I thought that would be a good inclusion for the montage image.

The Ridgid 18V inverter actually came out last August.

SBD does make on with a 120v socket, it’s just sold under the Craftsman V20 brand. Possible a yellow one may be available some day.

That’s part of the trend, so, I like it! I’m hoping these inverters and battery power devices will continue to come out in the next several cycles! They’re a fantastic integration we all need right now!

There is a great deal at ACME for a M12 4 tool fuel kit and 2x 2.5amp high output batteries. I haven’t seen this combo before and it seems well priced at $299.
