What is it with tape measures. I buy Stanley Tylon mostly. Fat Max on occasion as well.

If i get the sale at Canadian Tire i pay 5 dollars for a good tape. Regular like 16.99 or something.

My question. Is this just a loss leader and i am keen on it so i have several tapes. Or does the price on tapes get marked up heavily at certain times of the year .

Normal price for a tape that is considered better, is going to be $20 or more. Any other time of the year, this tape measure will be $25 in store at HD. Occasionally they will bring in a 2 for 1, for Father’s Day, but not too often are they marked down like this.

I’d recommend picking up at least one of these tanks to try. Lifetime warranty on it

These are good back up tapes. Framers, construction guys need 30′ min 35′ preferred tapes..almost never on sale .
…. DeWalt 30′ cost $20..fat max 30′ $30…we need new tapes every month , sometimes every couple weeks…
…sand is the enemy, working in rain which then attracts sand onto the tape and destroys it….
