Milwaukee Stud Tape Measure 2-Pack Holiday 2018 Deal

Over at Home Depot, they have the new premium Milwaukee Stud tape measure featured in a new Holiday 2018 deal.

With this deal, you essentially buy one 25′ Stud tape measure and get a second tape measure of the same size for free, since the 2-pack of tapes (48-22-9925) is $25 – the regular price for just one.

I’ve always been a fan of Milwaukee tape measures, and their newest one seems to be every bit as durable as Milwaukee advertises. They say that the Stud’s blade will outlast any other tape measure blade in the industry, and the housing offers the best impact resistance.

I passed one along to a local contractor for testing, and so far I haven’t heard any complaints.

Special Buy Price: $25

What do you guys do with 2-pack tape measure promos like this one? Do you go halfsies with a buddy, or do you make sure you have a spare for when the first is inevitably misplaced?

I bought the 2 for $25 on the 35 foot tape this last spring. Sold one on eBay for $20 or so to make the one I kept really cheap. Really like the matte color and double sided measurements on the Milwaukees

These stud tapes don’t have double sided markings. And the hook is too small, imo. Also, return spring is extremely weak. You practically have to feed the tape back in. But the tape itself feels super durable.

Why do I want to buy these?

I have way too many tape measures, but I’m definitely picking these up

Same here. I’ve got at least two in the garage, one in the junk drawer, and another in the kitchen for measuring rolled-out dough (my girlfriend likes to bake). I don’t think I need to measure things anywhere else, but I’ll be getting at least one of these sets.

I put a small one in the glove box of each car. Much better than putting it on your keychain.

Wish one of them was a 16 footer. I’ll still buy it haha

Only 2??? I have 7 or 8 and sometimes I can find one…or 2! The wifes daughter is the usual culprit, takes stuff out of the shed and doesn’t return it until I give her a blast about it.

I got my first Milwaukee tape measure (not stud because I wanted a magnet) lately after someone misplaced one of my DeWalt, the standout was very disappointing… I’m back to DeWalt..

I looked at it in the store and they seemed bulkier (not in a good way) and the hook is too small.

Agreed. Glad I felt one in person first. These are very large and bulky! Will be sticking to the fatmax for now

I might try one of these out. I have the keyring version and it’s great. Solid.

I’m a self/auto lock fanatic though, so I’m forever trying to find the perfect one. The Milwaukee auto lock looks great but not yet available in Australia.

I’ve ordered 5 tape measures in the past fortnight and 4 are auto locking; 8m Fatmax Auto Lock, 5m Fatmax Auto Lock, 5m Shinwa Tough Gear Self Lock, 5m Deli Self Lock, and 8m Lufkin Maverick (the only traditional lock of them all).

I also own 2 x 3.5m Komelon Self Locks, and two other unknown brand self locks.

All of them have something I don’t like about them, so the quest for perfect just keeps going on (I own 12 tape measures now!).

Doesn’t sound like a quest D, sounds like an obsession.
Now I own 15 or 20 tape measures; have one in each car, several in the kitchen junk drawer, one on the welding table and one or two on the saw table and then another 10 or 12 in their proper drawer in the tool chest. Most are just yard sale buys but I have actually paid real money for some. I just can’t seem to throw the junk ones away because not having a tape handy when you need it is as exasperating as not being able to find your glasses.
