Hot Deal: 2 Milwaukee 16′ Tape Measures for the Price of 1

Home Depot Milwaukee Double 16 Foot Tape Measure Pack

Over at Home Depot, there’s a new special promo where you can buy two Milwaukee tape measures for the price of one.

I’m a big fan of Milwaukee’s 16′ and 25′ magnetic tape measures. They came out a little over a year ago, and several other sizes and styles have been announced.

I own a couple of Milwaukee tape measures in both sizes, and really like them a lot. I keep misplacing them, which is why I don’t just have one. Or maybe they grew legs like the half dozen other tape measures I can’t locate at the moment.

$20 for one tape measure is a little steep. If I had it my way, I would say that $15 or $16 would be the sweet spot for what you get. $20 for two? That’s even better.

The promo is currently only available online, and will probably last through the holiday shopping season or until supplies run out.

Here’s a not-so-quick video review from about a year ago:

And here’s a Milwaukee vs. Dewalt tape measure comparison.

Buy Now(via Home Depot)

Orders $45+ ship for free, or you can opt for “ship to store” in-store pickup if you don’t mind waiting a couple of extra days.

Update: The 25′ plus 16′ freebie combo pack promo, with a $25 price tag, is also still running, and is also mentioned as being an “online only” deal. If you can’t use two 16′ tapes and instead want one of each size, this is the better deal for you.

The magnetic tip looks pretty cool. I have never seen that before.

US Tape Co (RAF Industries – maker of Centerpoint Tapes) has made a magnetic tape measure attachment for many years:

Stanley sells some under the Fat Max brand and so does Klein and Lufkin:

I recall that we had a few – and some of the guys liked them and some hated them – saying that the magnetic tips attracted al sorts of debris.

I sometimes find these “online only” deals in store too, more often than not at the pro desk. At my local store they also have a 2-for-1 deal on Milwaukee non-contact voltage detector (in a two-pack), in the same display where they have the one-pack for the same price .

    There’s also a deal on a 25′ tape + a 16′ tape for $24.97.

I thought that this deal replaced that one (https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/milwaukee-tape-measure-deal-042014/%3C/a%3E%29, but looks like they are both running at the same time. Thanks!

These are good tape measures, I picked up the 16′ & 25′ combo a few months ago. They are robust and have innovative features. They have become my go-to tapes.

I seem to recall seeing a lot of deals like this at Home Depot around the holidays. Various combos at value prices. Something to look forward to.

Of all tools I own, tape measures always seem to get misplaced more than any other tool. I usually find them eventually, sitting out of the way from where I was working prior. Damn tape measure gremlins…

The 16’/25′ combo is in stores. I work at Home Depot and it is getting rolled out in the seasonal department for the upcoming holiday combo packs. If you’re local Home Depot has already phased out most of Halloween, keep your eyes open for these to show up sooner or later.
