What a weird morning. First I get a wrong-number call from a Washington DC area code trying to connect someone else to Mike Pompeo’s office, and now this Milwaukee Flash Sale?
Seriously, it was so bizarre, and also highly amusing, especially after I watched a couple of episodes of Designated Survivor (political drama now on Netflix) in the background as I stayed up really late to get some work done last night.

Oh, the deal?
For a limited time (I couldn’t find an expiration date, which usually means you should hurry), save $25 off $100+ Milwaukee Tool orders at Tool Nut.
The discount excludes pre-order items, sale items, and promotional SKUs.
But, there’s still a whole lot of tools you can buy at a discount right now, including Milwaukee cordless power tools, hand tools, Packout tool storage products, Bluetooth speakers, outdoor power equipment, and more.

There’s also a $25 off $100+ promo on Milwaukee drill bits, screwdriver bits, and saw blades, and don’t forget that you could use these with any brands’ tools.

$25 off $100+ is always a good deal if there’s a tool or kit you’ve been meaning to buy. I’ve taken advantage of past deals like this to stock up on Milwaukee Packout organizers and power tool accessories.
One thing to note is that shipping is free with $99+ orders, and so with this coupon it means your before-discount order total must be at least $124 to get free shipping. Otherwise there’s a flat $8 ground shipping rate.

Not too bad a deal if you can stay with a a $100 spend. It obviously gets less attractive if you are spending more. Toolnut’s usual free shipping policy could help clinch the deal. But for me – I took a look to see if the new M12 “hatchet” chainsaw was included in the deal – it is not.
BTW – I received several “sale” emails this morning – including this one from ToolNut
Others were from:
Toolup : 15% off Power tool accessories using code ACCY15 ; 10% off Hand tools using code HT10 and 10% of lasers using code LASER10
Toolbarn: 20% a smallish selection of Milwaukee tools – using code OVERSTOCK20
GardenersEdge: $20 off $79 or $50 off $199 – using code GE8D20E

Toolnut isn’t offering free shipping, I paid shipping on my order.

Acme has 10% off Packout, with $300 purchase. I think shipping is free.
fred
I thought that their shipping was free on orders over $99 – so that would be triggered if you were using the $25 off on $100 . But maybe if the promo puts you cost at below $99 before tax – then you have to pay for shipping. If you get close to $99 it might behoove you to add some small items (like bits) to bring your total up – then get free shipping
Plain grainy
Shipping was real low so it wasn’t a big deal. But I was down to 17% off on my items.

So if you make a purchase with the Toolnut flash sale. You need to total at least $125.00 to garner the $99.00 free shipping.
fred
Mea Culpa – Stuart actually makes note of the shipping issue in his commentary. If the shipping adds $8 on a purchase that comes to $91.00 – then finding something to buy that costs $8.00 to bring your total to $99 would seem like the thing to do to get free shipping. If your total comes to $75 – then adding $24 of stuff you don’t really need to save $8 in shipping costs – is not compelling
Stuart
Not a big deal at all.
If my order came out to be say $98 after discount, I’d add a screwdriver bit, pencil, or something else to push it up the free shipping threshold slightly.
I’ve paid shipping at Tool Nut, Zoro, and other retailers to avoid having to play the “hmm, what can I pad my order with to get free shipping” game, which can be a huge time-waster.
Plain grainy
I was sent a flyer on the sale, didn’t get the benefit of Stuart’s shipping info.
Stuart
I wrote about this above – free ground shipping requires a $99 net order amount after discount and before tax, and so the before-discount order total needs to be at least $124.
aerodawg
been wanting one of the M12 3″ cut off tools so home it comes to me

Meh the 56 piece 3/8” socket set is $179 on tool nut but only $139 at HD. https://www.toolnut.com/milwaukee-48-22-9008-3-8-drive-56-piece-ratchet-socket-set-sae-metric.html
Even knocking off $25 it’s still cheaper to get it from HD
Plain grainy
HD will price match certain items also. But I think it has to be in your local stores market area. Not sure how it works exactly. But I get HD online price on store items.
Stuart
You have to price-shop with certain things.
Looking around, 48-22-9008 is:
$169 at Acme
$124 at Tooltopia (wow)
$179 at Tool Barn
Sold out at CPO
$179 at Blain’s Farm & Fleet
$179 at AceTool
$179 at ToolsPlus
Google says Home Depot has it for $139, but when I click-through, Home Depot.com shows a $169 price for me.
charles anderson
Thanks for posting this. I loaded the cart with a couple of tools totaling $138.
Tools were the same price at home depot.
$25 off, plus free shipping.
Chip
It’s not clear how to apply the discount. Didn’t appear to work for me.
Stuart
Should have applied automatically at checkout on eligible items.
Chip
Thanks, but it’s not working for me. Tried to purchase the M18 trim router but there was no discount applied.
Big Richard
Chip, my man. The router is not one of the applicable tools. It’s only on certain tools, not any/every Milwaukee tool. when you click on an applicable tool, there should be a banner above the ADD TO CART button that reads:
“$25 OFF INSTANTLY on Milwaukee Orders Over $100! Discount applied in shopping cart. Excludes pre-order, sale and promo items. Limited time offer. Order ships when all items are in stock.”
It’s a bummer, but pretty standard for deals like this.
Chip
Yes, it looks like you are correct!
Stuart
Hmm. Home Depot has the M18 router for $199. Although I see the $179 price a lot of places, it’s possible it’s being excluded due to promo pricing.
=(
Plain grainy
Is this sale limited to one purchase? Or can you place an order every day and still get the $25 off? Just wondering!
Plain grainy
You can place multiple orders under the $25 flash sale. Must be separate orders to qualify.
