Home Depot has another round of tool deals, today only.
As usual, there are a bunch of new deals mixed in with returning/recurring ones – I think it’s worth a quick look through the list.
There deals by more brands than just Milwaukee, but I find the M12, M18, and hand tool deals to be the most compelling.

Here’s what stood out to me:
Milwaukee M12 Cordless Screwdriver Kit + 45pc Bit Set – $89
Milwaukee M12 Fuel Cordless Jig Saw + 4Ah Battery – $150
Milwaukee M18 Fuel Gen3 Impact Wrench + Battery – $209
Milwaukee M12 Fuel Detail Sander + Battery – $139
Dewalt 10pc Drill Bit Set – $7.97 w/ free shipping
The deals end at 3am ET 9/10/24, unless supplies sell out sooner.

M18 Fuel Hackzall + 5.0 battery for $139 is a great deal.
Regular pricing is $169 tool only.

When will the 8 inch chainsaw 18 volt go on sale?
Stuart
Maybe next time?
Fall cleanup season is coming, there could be promos.

Sorry this isn’t exactly on topic, but has anyone come across any deals on Ryobi 4ah 18v batteries? I have a family member who needs a couple. Home Depot’s search tool is terrible. I found a couple deals that are currently showing sold out but I was curious if anyone might recall any that I may not have seen.

Quick search and I don’t see anything but the HD packages – best one seems like $79 for 4Ah/2Ah/charger….or two 4Ah by themselves for $199, which is more expensive than two at $99 each….
Sketchy sounding one on Amazon, two for $90, but customer reviews give question…open/bulk packaging too: https://www.amazon.com/Ryobi-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Capacity-Battery/dp/B07J5WJF1C
Ebay usually has take-offs and break-outs for cheap.

If they don’t need them immediately, wait until November. We’re entering one of the worst times of the year for cordless power tool promos.

Last time this pair of 4 Ah batteries, for $79, was offered in early December of last year:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-ONE-18V-Lithium-Ion-4-0-Ah-Battery-2-Pack-PBP2005/316767033
At the same time this other pair, of 6 Ah and 4 Ah *HP* batteries, went for $99:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-ONE-HP-18V-6-0Ah-and-4-0Ah-Battery-PBP4210/325145623
These were the best prices for just batteries, without any free tools (as during Ryobi Days, and such).

BTW, the first aforementioned offer is active right now. I saw it on the shelf in my local HD store, too.
What I also I saw today was a (couple of) box(es) with three *HP* batteries (4+4+2 Ah) and a simple charger, with a yellow price sticker of $100.00 !!!

You might be able to get a combo deal (tool + free battery); also, sometimes DTO has battery deals (today, $30-$40 for refub 4 Ahr batteries, plus shipping). In both cases, deals change frequently.

Direct tools factory outlet. All Ryobi stuff from the store way cheaper

If they’re at interested in the Ryobi 1/2”x18” bandfile, one of the HD Deals of the Day includes the tool plus three batteries (two 4Ah and one 2Ah) with a charger for $190.
Seems like a good deal, but only if the sander is useful
MM
I had seen that! Alas the sander is not useful. The person using these tools might find lighter duty OPE , a glue gun, or a flashlight useful but certainly not the bandfile. I do use bandfiles but I already have others. Smaller batteries like 2ah are also not of use to them. There was another (sold out) deal that looked good: a high-volume inflator plus charger, 4ah batt, and a freebie 4ah HO batt for $117.
Thanks to everyone for their feedback, I’ve got a number of leads to go check out now, and there is also no huge rush so waiting until the holidays will probably make the most sense.

i got the m12 Ratchet two batteires and a charger shipped to my house for $199. If I wanted to go pick it up at the store was $329. I will never understand Home Depot
eddiesky
Yeah. And I was to order 30 custom 3″ pin buttons for the same price HDepot was selling a 500 3″ pin maker kit (VEVOR) for $100. Home depot would have it at my house tomorrow. Direct from VEVOR would be three weeks, and a custom Etsy shop was 3 weeks for 30.
I want to see when HD has the Ryobi sidewalk/driveway powerwasher attachement on sale. Still cheaper than HarborFright. ITs weird with Home Depot.
MM
It really makes me wonder if many of these deals are generated by some algorithm rather than human beings. There often appears to be no apparent logic to the pricing. Quite often you will see two deals side-by-side on the page for the same product where one is simply much better than the other and you wonder why the lesser deals even exist.
TomD
Apparently the back end of their system is incredibly archaic and the website exposes it.
It costs nothing to have these combos and it costs them to remove and clean it up.
I also have a suspicion that some bundles are created for a specific large customer for ordering purposes; a customer who cares more about matching a PO than about getting the best price.
