Thanks for the heads up on this sale till tomorrow on M12 tools. I am going to upgrade my existing brush motor M12 drill driver with the 2504-20 1/2 hammer drill and while doing some quick online shopping saw that Home Depot has this tool in a kit with bag 2.0 battery and charger for $99 which seems like a better deal than Tool Nuts price of $104 for the bare tool. But I was more surprised to see the bare tool for $62.99 with free shipping at Significant Services a dealer I have not heard anything about. Can you provide any information on this dealer and your thoughts or insights as well.
    Thanks
    Ed

I did some quick search, and it seems a legit website.
I suppose the catch for these low prices is most of the bare tools are “open box”!
I come across this info from checking their store on eBay.

However, since they do offer PayPal for billing, I would say the risk is much minimum. Of course, if you do/use PayPal in the first place.
last, they do offer a discount code: 5%OFF

I would buy from them, but the Milwaukee tool line they have is poor, and I already got most of them!

        Thanks Sam for the feedback.
Your last comment is confusing, I think you are saying this dealer has poor selection of M12 tools, correct?

          Yes, you are correct. M12+M18!
          Apologies for the confusion.

They started as a bricks and mortar store (and still have one) loacated within the area that we serviced. So we bought from them from time to time – over perhaps a 15 to 20 year time frame. They were never our most prominent supplier – but I never had any feedback about issues about dealing with them. More recently – I’ve bought Festool and realated items from them – and they maintain a website devoted to this niche.

It seems that you’re referring to Tool Nut/Festool Products.

Ed was asking about a different “significant services” website whose online store – in my opinion – seems very suspicious. If not illegitimate, it’s far below the standard of quality I’d accept from an online tool retailer.

I’d recommend sticking to Tool Nut or other established dealers.

Ah yes – I somehow missed that. I was talking solely about Tool Nut their store – just off the Taconic Parkway – and their more recent venture as an online retailer

I have ordered from them several times. One order was delayed for a good while due to stock issues, but everything else got here on time and new in package.

via WHOIS, the website name was: Created: 2018-01-11 02:43:28 UTC

Their email is an @outlook.com name.

      There’s no phone number.
      Shipping policy?
      Return policy?

IF it’s legit, their website is horrendously bad.

      Zero social media presence.

      I’d pass.

Stu, they have a decently prominent ebay presence: https://www.ebay.com/str/significantservices. I think I’m gonna jump on the $62 hammer drill; with the coupon it brings it down to $60 for me. Less than the price of a PS5 game. I’ll give it a shot.

Okay, I guess? I was only going by their website. I didn’t even think to check ebay, as it’s not common practice for online retailers to have a website only to back up an ebay storefront.

I agree it’s not common practice for the website to be the backup and the ebay store be the main storefront. It is relieving at least though that they’re not just a shoddy website.

Here’s the Home Depot product page link.

I still see $99 w/ free shipping but no store availability.

Check brickseek Stu; it shows a few in stock in my local stores (capitol district NY) on “clearance” (brickseek doesn’t report the clearance prices for HD).

It’s in store only, doesn’t show up online. I confirmed it at my store at least.
