Milwaukee Tool Flash Sale 12-8-2020

Acme Tools has definitely won over my attention with their new flash sale, promising up to 40% savings on select Milwaukee Tools.

This deal is valid 12/8/2020, and limited to stock they have on hand, meaning no backorders, at least not at sale pricing.

I just finished checking a couple of retailers’ deals, and I had started to glaze over them. 10% off full price for a bare tool when you can get a holiday season special-buy kit for the same price? Whoopy-doo.

And then I came across this promo.

They have the new M18 Fuel oscillating multi-tool discounted by $30. Yes, this is the new M18 Fuel version, the one that *just* came out. I can’t seem to find a catch – did they include this here by mistake? Other sellers have it for $229 right now.

The M18 Surge bare tool is $129, which is $20 less than at other sellers.

The M18 Fuel impact driver and Packout combo kit is priced at… its regular holiday season price of $199.

There are some pretty decent deals here, and I’d say it’s worth a quick look to see if the couple of dozen eligible items match up with the Milwaukee tools remaining on your shopping list.

Milwaukee 2591-22 M18 Fuel and M12 Fuel Impact and Ratchet Fastening Tool Kit

This Milwaukee M18 Fuel impact wrench and M12 Fuel ratchet cordless fastening combo kit is on sale for $379.

When I priced this out for a $399 deal of the day in October, I found that the two bare tools would have been priced at $378 if purchased separately. So, with this deal, you get full kits, with a charger, tool bag, and battery for each tool, for just $1 more than that.

Some of the prices look quite good – but not the M18 Fuel impact combo kit for $199. It is $164 at MaxTool after their coupon code- and I think you posted about it priced at $179 at Home Depot The have a M18 cutoff saw at $529 that may catch me – once I look around a bit.

When will Milwaukee come out with a case for its chainsaw? I can’t find one to fit the battery powered saw anywhere.

I took the bar off and put it in a tote lined with cardboard to absorb any oil leaks. Its not exactly up to my normal tool organizing level.
Also I wish they would stop pretending $250 is a sale price for the saw! It has been available at that price from most vendors for as long as I can recall. (I admit to buying it for an absurdly higher price but that was in the context of a local chainsaw shortage)

Clearly you need to customize a packout. Fortunately whenever you buy a chainsaw, you get a tool that is shaped perfectly for making chainsaw bar shaped holes. Make sure to show us your results!

This is probably the actual answer – Milwaukee hasn’t decided how to make a packout compatible case for it yet.

Here was my solution to it:

I took their 26″ toolbox and cut it out. Some other have commented on the video on their tips.

I think my next Milwaukee purchase is the framing gun, I just can’t stomach it at full price because I don’t actually need it… Haven’t seen any deals on it deep enough to bite

I bought one (2745-20) on Black Friday for $314 at Great Lakes Power Tools. Not a fantastic sale – but with free shipping and no sales tax it looked good to me – and was on one of my family member’s wish list. Had it shipped to them for opening on Christmas.

I clicked thru to Acme, and found this M-18 FUEL™ & M12 FUEL™ Mid-Torque & Ratchet Combo Kit. Seems like a really good price, question is would this impact driver be a good choice to carry for my truck (3500) and travel trailer. Last time I had a flat I couldn’t break the lug nuts loose.

I cannot speak to the price, but encourage you to check the torque spec on those lugnuts, I suspect they are over tightened. The M-18 Fuel Mid-Torque impact claims 450 ft-lbs, and that would be very high for a heavy pickup (I usually see 130-160 depending on MFR and wheel material). Personally, I don’t like relying on keeping a charged battery in a vehicle, so I just keep a 24″ breaker bar instead. Worst case, I can stand on the end for +/-400-ft-lbs (depending on how much I ate recently). But if you need or choose a powered tool, take it easy when re-tightening!

Maybe think about buying a 2710-20 in-car charger:

That’s a cool car/truck battery charger. Still, price, and I can’t find any sell on it.

I have the long breaker bar, but I am getting old and not as coordinated as I used to be. I do torque check the truck and trailer when at home.

One key is you don’t want to put the nuts back on with an impact wrench as you can tighten them too much (or not even enough).

      $379 is a good price.

Link: Milwaukee M18 Fuel Impact + M12 Fuel Ratchet Combo Kit: $379

Tool Nut had this as a deal of the day in October for $399 – https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/milwaukee-cordless-automotive-power-tools-packout-lighting-deals-102020/%3C/a%3E .

At the time, I priced things out and the 2 bare tools totaled $378. So here, you get the M18 battery, M12 battery, charger, and kit bag for $1 more.

If you have a stable of tools already consider the m12 fuel, otherwise I’d say go bigger either m18 or corded. I have the m12 non-fuel and it is the one I always grab even though it’s an underpowered toy. It’s really convenient and comfortable, and takes hardly any space. When I was doing a more demanding project I bought a corded one because I was going through batteries too fast to keep working. The m12 fuel looks solid.

I have the m18 brushed and don’t use it much – I went with the m12 fuel as an upgrade since I shouldn’t be burning through batteries.

My decision was partially made for me – that deal with Packout was really good.

I hate to revive old content, but it looks like this sale is still available on some of these items, even 6 days later? I’m looking for an excuse to buy some 18v Milwaukee to complement my M12s, and some of these still look tempting…

Thanks for the alert! Some of the items went back up in price, others are still at sale/special buy pricing, presumably until they sell out.
