The Milwaukee automotive tool kit, 2463-21RS, is on sale again, for $149. This is Black Friday pricing and a very good buy for what you get.
This kit comes with a Milwaukee M12 cordless air inflator, M12 3/8″ impact wrench, an M12 charger, 1.5Ah battery, carrying bag, and a compact 3/8″ metric mechanics tool set with swivel-head ratchet, deep sockets, and an extension.
Here are the best current prices I could find at authorized dealers:

- M12 tire inflator: $119 (kit with charger & 2Ah battery, 2475-21CP)
- 3/8″ metric tool set: $70 (48-22-9001)
The inflator is $99 by itself, but there’s a special buy promo kit which bundles it with a charger and 2.0Ah battery for $119. While not quite the same as the bundle kit discussed here, which comes with a 1.5Ah battery, it’s the fairest comparison I could find.
So, when you add all that up, it comes out to $308.
When this was a Black Friday promo back in 2020, the best total price I could find for the separate tools was $277.
Participating retailers are listing the special Milwaukee tool bundle as being regularly priced at $279.
Is this a good deal? Here’s how I see it – if you can use at least two of the three main components (tire inflator, impact wrench, hand tool kit), then yes it’s a great deal.
If you were thinking of buying the tire inflator at its regular price of $99, or promo kit price of $119, then it might be worth upping your budget to accommodate the impact wrench and hand tool kit.

The impact wrench has a brushed motor and delivers 1200 in-lbs of max torque, which is in impact driver territory. You also shouldn’t use the included chrome sockets with it, as they’re not impact rated.
Overall this looks to be a decent beginner or enthusiast-level auto maintenance tool kit, or at least that’s what it looks like to me given the tool selection.
Or, maybe it’s intended as a general purpose tool kit. The inflator can be used for tire inflation as well as sports balls and bike tires, and the impact is suitable for a variety of tasks. The same goes for the compact tool kit, which is a great way to sample Milwaukee’s mechanics hand tools.

Price looks great. I really see this as a way to get the inflator and the impact wrench together for a great price and the socket set is just a freebie. The socket set has so few sockets, and no shallow ones, so I really question just how useful it would be. Sure, I understand that not everyone needs a 150+ pc socket set but that just seems a little too basic to me.

The impact wrench is a bit wimpy for automotive use, but it’s hard to complain for the price of the kit.
That’s a good observation about not being able to use the sockets with the impact wrench – sort of makes you wonder why Milwaukee didn’t just substitute impact sockets. However, that’s a pretty nice little hand tool kit. Bundling it with a roto-ratchet is a nice touch.
I’d look at this just from the value of all the tools you get, rather than as a kit for a specific type of work. E.g. sure they’re all automotive-related, but the jobs you would use each for seem unrelated to each other.

Yeah, if they had bundled it with flex impact sockets that would have made a lot more sense. Then again, this seems like more of a bargain kit than a really well focused one, this impact wrench is an older model that performs nowhere near as well as the Fuel models.

The included impact with the included 1.5 Ah worked just fine to take off all 20 lug nuts on my Camry, which had its lug nuts tightened by the Milwaukee 2767 high-torque on mode 1 (~100 ft-lbs).
Ran through all 20 lugs without interruptions, breaks, or anything and it worked just fine. Did not overheat. Did not drain the battery fully.
However, I have noticed that the small impact in this kit will struggle if the lugs are tightened by a shop. I suspect that shops are erring on the side of too tight rather than too loose.

Did you check your lugs with a torque wrench after? I wouldn’t trust the impact wrench setting myself.
I’m not saying I know it’s wrong – but I’ve watched test like on Torque test channel where the actual spec MIGHT “max out” at 100, but ts better to think of it as “it will never go over this number”.
There’s a chance lug nuts tightened this way might be way under the spec.

If you are looking for those particular tools, this is an incredible deal–*but* as was said above, the M12 impact wrench is not the brushless “Fuel” version, and the new M18 Inflator is much more appropriate for actual auto tire inflation (as opposed to inflating soccer balls, bicycles, etc.).

that impact wrench is more like a impact driver and it might run those sockets ok. are they 12 point though? Meanwhile didn’t know milwaukee made a swivel ratchet.
I think the kit would have been better suited with a power ratchet but either way. Nifty

I’ve assembled my own kits:
The older one kept in 1 car includes a 2475-20 inflator, a 2555-20 impact wrench, a 48-59-1810 car charger, 2 M12 batteries and a 19mm impact socket all in a 902189018 tool bag.
The newer one has a 2848-20 inflator, a 2962-20 impact wrench, a 48-59-1810 car charger, 1 M18 battery and a 17mm thin wall deep impact socket all in a 50-55-3550 toolbag.
It kind of irks me that when I assembled the old kit the car charger cost me $89.10 – and 4 years later the newer one was $114.25 – both substantially more than I would have paid for a AC charger (48-59-1808 selling for $30 on Amazon)

Bought this the last time it went on sale – zero regrets. I keep the 1/4″ bit adapter attached to the impact gun and it is my general purpose gun when I don’t care about power.
The inflator rocks – I use it on all tires including my RV that has big honkers which take 80+ PSI. I have to give it a cool down break after filling two, but that was also right after I purchased it when the tires only had 40 pounds in them.
First trip out in the RV I had a blowout at about 70mph, and that inflator went careening down the highway at the same speed when the tire blew apart the bin it was in – still works! Lost all the adapters and broke the plastic handle, but the buttons and compressor itself works.
Tempted to buy another one of these kits just because, but really don’t think I need to do that.

Those sockets will hold up to anything that little impact will put out. Not like we’re discussing a 300-700 ft pd impact wrench.
It’s a great little socket set with a swivel head ratchet, and metric is all I ever need.
I bought 3-4 of these kits the last holiday cycle and sold them off piecemeal.
Odd so many complaints for such a solid priced crazy deal.

For my part, though I commented on the impact wrench, I said “it’s hard to complain for the price of the kit.”
There’s no doubt this kit is big value – it’s just an odd assortment if you think the components were assembled for a specific task.
It’s like you went to the grocery store and they offered a special of 5 apples, a bottle of salad dressing and some taco spice for $2.
If they instead offered a package of spaghetti noodles, pasta sauce and grated parmeasea… it would make more sense as a kit.
