Black Friday is less than two weeks away, and there are usually considerably more deals than we’re seeing right now. Here are the deals we found so far, and we’ll keep looking for more.

Keep in mind to check on Black Friday (11/24) and Cyber Monday (11/27), as we expect to see limited time and Doorbuster deals on miter saws those days.

Dewalt 12″ Miter Saw DWS715

Dewalt DWS715 Single Bevel 12 Inch Miter Saw

The Dewalt DWS715 is a low-frills non-sliding 12″ miter saw with single bevel adjustment. It can cut up to 2×8 construction lumber at 90°.

It’s a solid saw, and the price is decent, but I find Home Depot’s bundle with a portable miter saw stand to be a more compelling deal.

Buy it at Amazon | $229
Buy it with a Stand at Home Depot | $279

Dewalt 12″ Sliding Miter Saw DWS779

Dewalt DWS779 Sliding Miter Saw New for 2020-2021

The Dewalt DWS779 is the de-facto 12″ sliding miter saw deal for nearly every holiday shopping season. It can cut boards up to 2×14 in a single pass at 90°, and nested crown molding up to 7-1/2″.

We usually see different offers where you get a free portable miter saw stand, but they haven’t popped up yet. Maybe retailers are saving such deals for their Black Friday deals of the day.

Buy it at Amazon | $399
Buy it at Home Depot | $399
Buy it with a Stand at Home Depot | $499

Ridgid 12″ Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw with FREE Stand

Ridgid R4222 Sliding Miter Saw

Home Depot has a promo where you buy this Ridgid 12″ sliding miter saw and rolling stand for $399.

Ridgid AC9946 Miter Saw Stand

The same saw was a $379 special buy last year, and the stand retailed for $169. $399 for both seems like a good deal.

Buy it at Home Depot | $399

Ryobi 18V Cordless 10″ Sliding Miter Saw + FREE Stand

Ryobi 18V Cordless Miter Saw Black Friday 2022 Deal PBLMS01K

If you were looking for a cordless miter saw, Home Depot has this Ryobi 18V 10″ sliding miter saw with battery and charger for $299, plus you also get a free portable stand.

Buy it at Home Depot | $299

Metabo HPT 10″ Miter Saw C10FCGS

Metabo HPT C10FCGS Miter Saw

This no-frills Metabo HPT 10″ single bevel miter saw has earned a solid reputation over the years.

It looks to be a decent saw for DIYers to start out with, or a basic compound miter saw for cutting 2x4s and other such work materials.

Buy it at Amazon | $119

There are bound to be more miter saw deals – check back, especially on Black Friday.

Thanks! That one’s already linked-to in the post. I keep expecting to see better bundle prices. I’m not sure why we’re seeing so few deals this year. There’s another DWS779 bundle deal, but the price doesn’t seem as good as it could be.

Does the 780 ever come on sale? I want to buy it because of the light. Not sure if it makes sense to do

It was on sale recently – https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/dewalt-dws780-sliding-miter-saw-deal-092023/%3C/a%3E . I can’t shake the feeling that maybe they wanted to shed inventory to make room for the DWS779 holiday deals.

Except for the recent unusual pricing, there are occasional “free stand with purchase” offers.

There is an aftermarket kit to add the light. I added it on mine and it was pretty easy and did not take long. Think it was $80 or so?

I bought that Metabo for a bit under $100 a few years ago. It works well for smaller home projects. The dust bag doesn’t collect much, so plan on using it outdoors or somewhere close to a shop vac. I’ve also found the bevel adjustment to be tricky to dial in. If you want to be in this price range, and don’t need the capacity of a slider, this is a solid choice. I have no regrets and have been able to do everything I’ve wanted knowing it’s capacity.

Same, this has been my “truck tailgate saw” and it has been trouble free. I think mine was from right before it went from Hitachi to Metabo HPT.

I think I paid $100 and I remember seeing it for $89 at one point, but I doubt it will ever be that cheap again.

I just got the 18v version of this saw. 19 pounds and quite accurate. For woodworking, I cut miters on my table saw or Featool MFT, but this is a fantastic home project saw where taking saw to the work is necessary. Not being a slider is a bit of an advantage for moving around and for miter accuracy. The drop shadow is also great.

The 779 is a great saw. I still find myself wishing for a few updates. Like a soft-start motor.

The other thing would be for it to not require so much room behind the saw, but that would require an almost complete redesign.

I got mine during the holiday pricing and it is a great saw. mmtoolparts sells a light kit to add the XPS Shadow Light like the DWS780. I did that and it was easy to install. mmtoolparts ran a discount on the kit around Black Friday at that time. I also decided to hook up the DWS779 to my shopvac instead of using the dust bag. Dewalt sells an adapter to attach the saw to a vacuum hose.

I wish the Bosch was on sale. Or some cordless versions of Dewalt/Makita.
(the Bosch mechanism takes up the least amount of workshop space).

The DeWalt DCS781 is not on sale, but is eligible for a free 3Ah/9Ah DCB609 battery. If you stack that promo with other promos, you can get a serious deal. Watch for flash sales like this – https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/dewalt-flexvolt-miter-saw-flash-sale-2023/%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E

Metabo HPT makes an interesting sliding miter saw. It has guide rails which project out front, so you can back the saw right up against a wall.

It’s amazing how deal obsessed we American’s remain even though if we had produce these tools they’d cost 3 times as much. It’s just especially absurd in these instances where you know most of the tools purchased get shelved in garages and never utilized anywhere near they’re capacity. It makes you realized what’s really on sale is “the deal” itself.

The Ryobi cordless is model ‘PBLMS01’ for the special buy, while the “normal priced” is ‘PBLMS01B.’

    Any idea of the difference?

(I realize it’ll be a minor change in parts… just curious)

I’m glad you were able to get to the bottom of it!

It looks like you’re right, although Ryobi doesn’t normally have model numbers like that.
