MK Morse Reciprocating Saw Blades

After we mentioned MK Morse’s free portable band saw offer, Phil did some looking around and noticed that there’s a separate offer for a free reciprocating saw blade sample!

There are four 6″ blade options to choose from:

Advanced Edge Bolt – this is the blade you want for cutting smaller sized solid materials and structural shapes. 8/11 TPI.

Advanced Edge Power – choose this one for cutting machinable metals, wood, wood composites, plastic, or rubber materials. 14 TPI.

Havoc – this one’s a demolition blade that’s meant for quick rough cutting of wood, wood composites, metal, and nail-embedded wood materials. 5 TPI.

Renovator – here’s a cleaner-cutting blade that leaves a fine edge when cutting through wood and thinner metal materials, such as during remodeling work. 8/11 TPI.

These blades are all made in the USA.

I’ve never used these or the Morse band saw blades (subject of your prior post) – but have a long and good experience with their bi-metal hole saws (AV series) carbide tipped hole saws (AT series), carbide grit hole saws (ATCG series) , air saw blades and particularly like their Metal Devil circular saw blades that we used in a Evolution saw and a look-alike that bore the Morse name.

    FYI,
The request didn’t work for me using Google Chrome.
    Explorer worked OK.

It didn’t work for me with Chrome either (Android or desktop). I used Firefox on the desktop and it seemed to work.

Same here. But I figured that if I posted this, others might start getting annoyed as this happened with the last promotion.

Clearly, I am not supposed to be acquiring these items and since this is happening to others, maybe this is a sign?

Free sample blades seems like a good way to let potential customers try out your product and see if it’s what they’re looking for, and compare it to whatever they’ve used in the past.

It’s just too bad they don’t send out a pack of all four blades, I’d like to try out all of them rather than just pick one.

Would also be nice if they included a coupon for a multi-blade pack.

Why do they paint the blades?

From my experience the paint gums up and ads friction…..unless is a cheap way to protect from corosion. But then again it could just be make up on it to make it look pretty.

Free is always good though…moro prone to tests it’s limits than to baby it 🙂

They paint them so they aren’t rusty before you get them. Look at Milwaukee, the inventor of the Sawzall Blade, they all paint them, unless you purchase a stainless steel blade. Stainless blades are never painted.
