Mobile-Shop’s Complete Tool Bag, model MS-CTB, is said to be the ultimate “grab and go” tool bag. It’s essentially a pre-configured tool set that includes 118 commonly used tools. This seems perfect for anyone who wants a complete tool set without having to go through the trouble of building it up.
Sets like this seem more suitable for industrial use, where a company might need to order one or more general purpose sets for MRO (maintenance, repair, operations) use. Rather than waste time hand-picking the tools workers might need, they can choose something like this and be done with it for the most part.

Personally, if I’m spending over $550 on tools, or even a tool set, I want to know exactly what I’m getting. But then again I only buy tools for my own use.

I like the idea, but I’m not sure that’s $550 worth of tools and bag there. I’m thinking more like $200.
Stuart
That’s what I’m thinking as well, since the company sells individual tools and components at higher-than-retail prices, but there’s always a price for added convenience.
Corey
I start to have a problem when some of the professional grade tools are a pencil, marker and bic lighter.
I have to say that I think the biggest thing it’s got going for it is the labeling on the bag. I’ll give them major props for having the tool labeled on the bag as well as the replacement battery type on the pocket too.
I’m still thinking $250-300 tops.

But do they make one for women?
Stuart
Is that a challenge for me to put together a custom tool kit for you?

Convenience doesn’t cost $500 when you don’t know a thing about the quality of the tools, but it is a great idea, and it is refreshing to see (judging only by the huge price) that the tools are probably high quality. The not knowing should slow down buying pretty effectively.
Stuart
Some of the brands I can identify from the image are Ekling, Irwin, and Maglite, so I presume all of the tools are brand-name and professional-grade.
John
I’m going to guess that tools listed on this site make up the contents of the fully stocked bag for the most part. Would be nice to know what your $550 really buys before pulling the trigger though.

I like how No. 102 says “Dewalt’s best hammer drill,” which looks to be the well outdated DC988KA.

It’s really a shame that you can’t buy just the bags without the tools.
Stuart
There are a number of open box-shaped tool bags and totes that are quite similar. Not labeled, though.

This reminds me that I’ve been trying to find my $10 hex key set pictured here…
But hey, presumably there are more tools on the other side, right?
