Joby Gorillatorch Flare

Joby’s flex-leg Gorillatorch flashlight was introduced months ago, and it appears to have become quite popular. We certainly love it! Since then Joby has released new colored versions of the Gorillatorch, in yellow, orange, and blue. Joby is now launching the Gorillatorch Flare, a new higher-powered and more feature-rich version.

The Gorillatorch Flare outputs 100 lumens of light vs. the original’s 65. Not only that, the Flare also includes three red LEDs, allowing it to serve as a powerful warning or emergency light. The Flare has also been given an IPX5 water resistance rating, meaning that it could still function in even the heaviest rainstorm.

It sounds like the Flare is a decent upgrade to the quite versatile Gorillatorch, and would be a great addition to a motorcycle or auto tool kit. The Flare is priced at $35, which is $10 more than the original grey version, and $5 more than the color Gorillatorches.

      I DON’T KNOW!!

Amazon is the place I ordered mine from. I don’t think I ever saw this or Joby’s other LED products at any local stores.
