The Nexxforce Cordless Power Washer Can be Used on Your… Horse?

Nexxforce Cordless Pressure Horse Washer

Shown here is the Batavia Nexxforce, part of their 18V Maxxpack cordless power tool collection.

The Nexxforce is a cordless pressure cleaner, and I first learned about it from the following video:

It’s a cordless horse… cleaner? And, the supply hose can be placed in a lake. This is one of the most surprising cordless power tool promo videos I have ever seen!

I don’t think I’ve ever gone horseback riding. I rode a camel once, but I don’t quite think that’s the same. Still, I bet I’m not alone in thinking this is an odd way to both wash a horse and advertise a new pressure washer.

Ah, they’re just using the cordless pressure cleaner to cool the horse down! With pond water. That still seems a little harsh, but the horse in the product video doesn’t seem to mind.

Looking into it further, Batavia say you could also use it to clean your car, bike, grill, or other such items, or to water your plants.

It comes with a supply hose that Batavia says can be dropped into a bucket, lake, river, swimming pool, or water bottle as the water source.

Here’s another promo video:

In addition to cleaning off your horse, you could also use the Batavia Nexxforce cordless pressure cleaner to wash mud off your BMX and mountain bikes. Is that actually a good idea though? Maybe the frame, but the drivetrain?

In the mountain bike cleaning video, the water supply hose is placed inside a watering can.

The Nexxforce cordless pressure cleaner features:

  • 5 meter hose (16.4 ft)
  • Soap dispenser (nozzle reservoir)
  • Adjustable pressure: 1.9 MPa, 2.4 MPa (276 PSI, 348 PSI)
  • Adjustable water flow rate: 160 L/hour, 170 L/hour
  • Spray angles: 0°, 15°. 25°, 40°
  • Weighs 1.1 kg without accessories (~2.4 lbs)

There’s no mention of battery runtime.

Nexxforce Cordless Pressure Washer Applications

Here’s another list of applications from a sell sheet I found.

The cordless pressure washer actually looks interesting, although I’d be more interested if there was a water tank attachment.

It doesn’t look like you can buy the Nexxforce washer anywhere yet, but I found the promo videos interesting and just had to share.

Best way to make a life long friend with a Llama is to hose it off with cool water on a hot day. Although I don’t know about a pressure washer.

You would actually be surprised at the usefulness of using a power washer to give a horse a Shower. You can power wash mud off their legs and hooves, especially before being reshoed. Then just turn the power down and aim over the horse to give it a shower. Either to cool it down, or to clear off shedding hair, or general grooming.

This device though? Probably just a standard Power Washer with a hose for a water supply, instead of a reservoir. And I think it’s probably for the European market primarily, though they may be trying to break into the North American market as a coincidental market. On a Ranch or Farm? Middle-Americas? I can see this being used on prize winning Bulls at the Calgary Stampede, or Dresage Horses… Not the BEST solution, but I’m sure the makers probably know that, and are hoping no one in the Americas notices how ill-equipped the device is for what they claim it’s good for.

Probably best to keep this categorized as a resevoir-free cordless pressure washer for NON-Living cleaning applications. It gets complicated once you involve prize-winning, or simply just plain cared about, animals of any sort.

I don’t ever remember a time when I thought a pressure washer was the right tool for watering plants.

Looks a lot like the Worx 20v or 40v power washers, though I think those need a dedicated water line

They work just fine from a bucket or water bottle.

It would have to have a small water tank/ container for me to want it.
Why can’t Dewalt make me one of these? I think the worx one would be versital. There’s a good hack for the worx, where they put a magnet on it and get more power.

I have a worx and made an adapter to run on all my dewalt batteries. The magnet trick doesn’t give it more power, it only has full power with the long wand on it. If you switch to short wand pressure is reduced for safety. There is a magnet in the end of the long one so all you have to do is add one at the end and the short wand becomes full power

Please share how you run your dewalt batteries with the worx pressure washer. I have the 20volt worx pressure washer and like it a lot, except for the battery.

I took the works battery apart and just used the top half of the battery case to make the connection with the wand then took a piece of 1x material made it the shape of the works battery and screwed it to the bottom. It took me awhile but I cut and notched the wood piece until it looked just like the bottom of a dewalt 20 volt drill. I had an old charger so I took the terminals off of that to make new connections. If I new how to post a picture I could show you

Makita recently released a true cordless ‘pressure’ washer on their 18v x2 platform.

    Some notable features include:

Can be used with or without 50L/~12gal tank

    15 minute continuous runtime

Wheeled Water reservoir tank serves as a storage box for the pressure washer and accessories.

Many accessories are available which are comparable with Makita’s line of electric pressure washers (not available in the USA). I have an electric Makita pressure washer and it is excellent quality. To get a 110v version, I purchased mine from Mexico.

For those interested, the model number is MHW080DZK. What vendor did you use? One would think Makita would release this state side, as they’d have an early advantage over Black and Decker Stanley, TTI and Robert Bosch Corporation should they come out with a variation under Dewalt, Miwaukee or under the Bosch brand.

Perhaps a better question is why hasn’t Stihl or Snap-On come out with this type of design with pressure washers? If Makita can produce a product such as this, any professional company can be bale to do so.

I purchased my Makita electric pressure washer, HW1300, through eBay. It is the model made for Mexico and uses 110v AC The HW1200 model is also often available.

Per a discussion with senior Makita management in Japan, the decision to not market their pressure washers in The United States is an issue of price point. The US market is saturated with lower priced brands and alternatives. The Makita units are built internally to a higher standard, but the US consumers will not accept the higher price point.

There are other products in the Makita 18V XLT line that are not offered in the United Ststes for the same reason.

I am currently in Japan and have a good relationship with a local Makita distributor. I often bring back the latest items and get insights into what is in the product pipeline. When available, I purposely chose the unique colors, like the maroon coffee maker, and the brown impact driver.

I was going to say worx called and been there done that got the t-shirt.

I like the idea honestly for the things I don’t want to setup my pressure washer for but have to use. Looks like you could easily but this on a standard hose too. The first worx items if I recall came with a supply hose so you could pull water from things.

not a bad idea I mean it’s a battery powered pump right.

Question who is batavia? what are they connected to? I’ve thought for a while about making a dewalt battery to worx adapter for the hydroshot or whatever it’s called. Don’t really think I’d use it that much but I think I would like it.

It sounds like some are confusing this with a pressure/power washer, when it’s a small fraction of the PSI of a traditional pressure washer.

That said, I can see something like this being very hand, not just in “off the grid” situations (e.g., spraying the mud off vehicles/toys/RVs when camping) but even around the home in situations where a person needs to do a smaller job and doesn’t want to spend the time bringing out a hose, pressure washer, and/or extension cord.

For example, in the time it takes to reel and unreel the garden hose, you could fill up a 5-gallon bucket from the tap while you finish up a few tasks, then use this tool to knock the dirt off of garden tools (shovels, hoes, etc) or to blast out the clumped up grass from the underside of a lawn mower.

The more I think about it, the more I like the convenience factor of a tool like this. I do as little yard work as possible, but if I were into my lawn, garden, or another hobby outdoors I would be very tempted to buy this if it weren’t too expensive.

Cyclocross pits are full of power washers because the chains and bearings of the bikes are more expendable than the riders’ energy as they drag around muddy slop. The same could be said about the mechanics’ energy if they have to lug a generator in and out of the park.

I’m a general contractor so I use it constantly and it works great. If I have a tile job I spray off my wet saw with it and in two minutes I’m done. Other guys scrub with a brush and bucket of water for 20 minutes and it still looks bad. Mixing drywall mud? Spray of the paddle. Pour concrete and there usually isn’t a water source there. Spray off wheelbarrow and tools. It is in my truck with one or two five gallon jugs constantly. And it has plenty of power

350psi is also not going to destroy anything. I’m always afraid that the higher power washers are going to jam water into places it shouldn’t be, especially when washing things like bikes.

It’s not meant to replace a big pressure washer. It’s not even called a pressure washer. It’s a hydroshot. What makes this very appealing is the remote location usage especially if there is not a water source

    Where is Ryobi on this???

Would be great to just quick connect to a garden hose and wash down the car, mower, vacuum trailer, shovels, … rinse off furniture. Often times need a bit more power than the garden hose but not pressure washer level psi.

As I don’t like to drag the pressure washer out of the basement around the house, get the garden hose to it, sometimes get an extension cord to plug in the pressure washer cord, deal with uncoiling the awkward 30ft pressure washer hose … then reverse all that after a few minutes.

I could see this for camping or the beach for washing off your kids, pets, jetski etc before getting in the truck to drive home.

I think something like this would really shine for dust mitigation when using a battery cut off saw in concrete. Or a gas saw for that matter. It would need a trigger lock in the on position and a way to connect it to the saws spray system.

I know milwauke has a cordless sprayer. Not sure it has enough flow to keep up with a cut off saw tho.

I wouldn’t have any concerns about using this on mountain bikes. You’d want to stay away from directly spraying any place that has bearings (hubs, bottom bracket, and headset). I could see this being pretty useful when camping.

I wonder how well something like this would work as a tree sprayer for spraying fungicide into a tree in the spring? My water pressure is only 70psi so it doesn’t have enough power to reach the top of my crabapple. 300 PSI should be enough to reach much higher without turning into a fine mist.

Batavia is a proudly Dutch tool brand that is expanding dramatically within Europe and hopes to sell to the US market soon. We’re especially looking forward to bringing our tools to our namesake city in the US – Batavia, Illinois 😉

The Nexxforce will be launched in 2020 and we have already seen great interest from our European clients for the nifty pressure cleaner. The Nexxforce offers 5 different pressure settings making it ideal to use to water your garden, cool down your horse or clean your terrace. Your everyday use cleaning tool. For those interested, below is a video of the Makita MHW080DZK 18v x2 cordless pressure washer. The ‘high’ output pressure is 8MPa or about 1150psi. It can use hosed water, draw from a water source, or use the 50l, about 12gal integrated water supply.
