The new Nite Ize KMT-11-R3 DoohickKey keychain-sized stainless steel multi-tool features a screwdriver tip, non-sharpened boxcutter, 1/4″, 5/16″, and 3/8″ wrenches, a 1-3/4″ ruler, bottle opener, and carabiner clip.
I’m going to say this in as nice a way as possible – this Nite Ize DoohicKey looks to be just another derivative EDC tool. But these types of mini pocket tools keep popping up for a reason – they’re small, inexpensive, and versatile.

As far as keychain-sized multi-tools go, this one looks pretty decent. If you’re going to carry a bottle opener, it may as well do more than just open bottles.

The wire latch covering the hook opening looks like it is easily dislodged. You’ve identified it as a “carabiner clip”; is it therefore spring-loaded or somehow tensioned to resist opening on its own? If not, I could see it coming open, and the hook possibly tearing the pocket in your jeans or pants over time.
Incidentally, while the manufaturer may claim it is a 2-inch ruler, the markings in the photo only appear to run for 1-3/4″.

Oops, you’re right about the ruler length – it’s 1-3/4″ and not 2″. That was my mistake.
It looks like the gate opening is made from spring steel that is put under tension upon opening. Sonething this size shouldn’t accidentally disengage from a keychain under normal conditions.

Yeah, you’re right about the wiregate. The wiregate uses the same sort of tensioning as their S-Biner carabiner. One leg of the gate sits a little forwards of the other leg and thus generates the tension when pushed open. Interestingly enough it’s actually a lot more resistant to dislodging than the solid aluminum gates on a lot of the freebie carabiners.

A while back, some of the S-Biners were known to have a tendency to unclip from keychains, but a bit of heatshrink tubing was a quick and easy fix. With these being so small and with nothing hanging from them, I don’t think they’ll suffer from the same issue.
It’s worth adding that newer S-Biners have a slightly modified design and “Slidelock” lock-opening blocker that prevent unintended gate openings.

Nite Ize has been manufacturing similar items for several years. My latest key chain is thier stainless steel key vault. It works great. They have the more plastic version marked down on HD online so I may be ordering several of those just to keep up with keys I don’t need to carry regularly. This looks to be a similar item. I agree, there has been a glut of these one piece tools and this is just one of the many. Although most tool users will tell you that a bottle opener should be required for any tool, as one should never be caught anywhere without something to open their favorite adult beverage.

I’ve tried a few of these kinds of things over the years, but the only one I’ve stuck with is a tiny flat/phillips bit with a hole through the middle I got off Kickstarter. The flat is good for cutting box tape and the screwdrivers are useful.
