I posted about several Arduino Day discounts last year, and intended to post about this year’s deals, but a bad cold interfered in my plans.
But, there’s a bit of good news. While most Arduino Day discounts have ended, Pololu’s sale is still good for another day.

They’re offering 20% discounts on a bunch of Arduino-related products, and “price break upgrades” on everything else they carry.
So for their Arduino-compatible products, you get a 20% discount. For other stuff, say something you want to buy multiples of, such as LEDs or solderable pin headers, there’s a brice break upgrade. If there are 3 separate pricing tiers, for 1 product, 10, or 100, you get the pricing of the higher tier.
If I can get a clear head on Monday, I’ll probably order a couple of their A Star Arduino-compatible boards, and maybe some spare consumable parts or handy components.
Coupon Codes: AD2016 for 20% on Arduino products (see their site for eligible products), and AD2016PBU for the price break upgrade on everything else.
If you have no idea what to buy, check out Pololu’s A Star 32U4 Prime boards, or buy an Arduino Uno from Pololu or elsewhere.
If you have no idea what an Arduino is, here’s a intro post I wrote up on GearGuyd a few years ago.

Simply put, Arduinos are easy to program microcontroller boards that make it easy for you to connect and control things like small DC motors, lights, sensors, switches, and things like that.
To give you an idea of what it could be used for, I have two projects coming up: a switch and light-up control panel for my toddler son to fiddle around with, and a keyboard emulation keypad for my computer. It takes 4 key presses to export an image in Photoshop. Doesn’t it sound a lot easier if I could make one press to a custom keypad button instead?

Sale ends 4/4/2016.

Thanks, For the heads up. I need a couple of things and the discount will come in handy.
FYI: If you have a Micro Center near you, they have the Inland version of the UNO 3 for 5.99 and the Mega for $9.99 and I believe the Micro is for $3.99? While not as nice as the A-star, I have no problems with them so far on the couple I tried.
Hope your cold gets better.
