I would add that the deal is very good considering it’s the kit with the feed tables and spare blades. often you find the planner itself without tables for 499.

Historically, $499 is rare but regular on the planer + tables & spare blades combo package, as it does pop up at this price for Black Friday maybe once between seasons.
It very rarely dips lower than that, with ~$475 being the lowest price in my records.
There’s a good chance it’ll reappear for the winter holiday season if there are no supply chain disruptions or higher costs.

Most dealers still have it at $630.
In my opinion, if this was something I was on the fence about, I would add it to my cart and order it.
Here’s my rationale – sometimes this kicks my decision-making into high gear and I am either satisfied I placed the order or I have immediate regret and cancel it.
Additionally, right now the deal is via Amazon direct, which is quoting a “usually ships within 1 to 3 week” ETA. This *should* give you some time to think about things.
Or you can try another tactic I sometimes do – add it to your cart and tell yourself “I’ll think about this after lunch.” If the item sells out, it wasn’t meant to be. And if it hasn’t, maybe it is meant to be.
Ask yourself: If I skip this deal and it is NOT on sale for $499 next holiday season, will I be upset or will I be okay waiting? Maybe this helps with your decision.
Contrary to popular belief (hehe), I don’t like hurting everyone’s wallets.
The sense of urgency can lead to an emotional decision. But, there is a sense of urgency.
I missed out on a BBQ smoker deal last March (2020) and passed on a Black Friday deal that wasn’t quite as good. Now it’s the end of June, and there are no deals. I am annoyed that I missed two good deals, but I also still don’t want to pay full price for something I want but don’t exactly need.
Whether it’s hurting your wallet now or potentially spending a little more later, lean towards the option of least potential regret.

That grinder kit is a great deal. 5AH battery, a fast charger (not the usual cheapie you get with most kits), and the two tools. I haven’t used that particular angle grinder but if it’s anything like their other corded and cordless models I have used then I suspect it’s great. I do own the straight die grinder and it’s excellent. It’s not super compact like the M12 model but it’s a heck of a lot more powerful. I wish they made a 90 degree version too.
