Affordable Prime Day Deal on the Leatherman Free T2 Knife Multi-Tool

Leatherman Free T2 Multi-Tool Knife Prime Day Deal 2025

Leatherman kicked off another Amazon Prime Day Deal with a discount on their Free T2 multi-tool knife.

Leatherman recently launched new folding and fixed blade knives. I’ll be talking more about those in coming days – the folders are $300!), but you should know that they’re pricey.

This one, however, is very reasonably priced in my opinion, especially with 25% savings for Prime Day.

The Leatherman T2 is a compact multi-tool that gives you a knife blade, Phillips and slotted screwdrivers (2 sizes), bottle opener, prying tool, package opener, and awl. Some of these are combination features.

It also features Leatherman’s “FREE” magnetic tool design, which greatly improves accessibility.

Regular Price: $49.95
Sale Price: $37.46

I can’t tell if this is a new deal or if I missed it when checking for Leatherman tool deals the other day.

At under $40, this is more accessible than many of Leatherman’s more featured multi-tools, and especially their new premium folding knives.

If you need something different, keep in mind that the other Leatherman Free series multi-tool and EDC deals are still ongoing: Leatherman FREE Multi-Tools are on Sale for Prime Day 2025!.

$300! I look forward to more details. Those knives better be pretty spectacular.

Tangential, but have you noticed the Worksharp folder Stuart? It actually looks somewhat special and innovative – which isn’t what I would have expected.

No? I’m looking at for the first time now. I have some reading and watching to do, but it’ll have to wait a few days.

I have… thoughts about the new Leatherman knives. The comparison is apples to oranges, but the launch pricing really makes the sub-$40 deal price for the T2 so much more appealing.

I had seen some recent news feed blurbs about Leatherman “reinventing the knife segment”.

That must’ve been what they were going on about.

But $300 is a mighty steep price for a folding knife, regardless of the brand behind it. I can’t say I’m all that interested. Curious about how they justify it, but not interested.

I currently run a leatherman C305 every day, even bought out another 3 of them right as they were getting discontinued. It’s a very subtle work horse of a knife.

I would highly recommend any of Leatherman’s combo knife/screwdriver knives. They’re all far more compact than a whole multi-tool, and does 99% of everything I need a multi tool to do, and does the knife-part better than any multi tool from any brand.

I have a Leatherman H503 that I purchased back in 2008 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000ESJKA4?tag=toolguyd-20 for pics), and it remains one of the worst everyday carry type purchase I have ever made. It’s just so incredibly chunky.

I’ve been far more pleased with the Skeletool design.
