Prime Day 2025 Tool Deals and Cool Tool Reader Finds Day 2

This post features more Amazon Prime Day 2025 tool deals that readers have found, plus some other cool tools I see from the anonymous affiliate purchase logs that you guys have been buying.

We’re now halfway through Prime Day 2025, which is from July 8th thru 11th. Sales events like this tend to have a lot of good tool deals, but it can be challenging for those with built-up tool collections to find good bargains or interesting gear.

Hopefully this helps you out a bit. While I try my best to sort through all of the tool deals, you guys always find more.

I skipped over a lot of the deals that are already discussed in our other posts. You might want to check those out too – I’ll include links at the end of this post, and you might also want to visit the toolguyd.com home page for the latest posts.

Here are the deals and some non-deals you might find interesting, in no particular order:

Mora Rescue Knife with Serrated Blade and Rounded Tip – This one’s going on my wishlist unless I can’t make it to the end of the post without ordering one. It looks great for cutting things like rope or webbing!

JBL Go 3 Portable Mini Bluetooth Speaker – you guys have great taste, this one’s on my wishlist!
Komelon Contractor Wide Blade Tape Measure (16ft/5m) – I had this in my cart and made the purchase once I saw the new 20% coupon code
YETI 30oz Tumbler in Bright Blue – save 30% (see more Yeti deals here)

Olight Oknife Otacle 9-in-1 EDC Multi-Bit Pocket Screwdriver
Mellif Cordless Air Duster (Looks to be compatible with Dewalt batteries)
Workpro 12V Electric Air Duster
Metabo HPT 10″ Miter Saw – looks like the price dropped by another $6, presumably for a very limited time

Sony Wireless Noise Canceling Overhead Headphones – not a tool but I can see how the lightning deal was enticing
Giraffe Hose Reel Prime Day Deals – there were a bunch of Giraffe hose and reel purchases; I still haven’t tried any, are they good?
OTC Automotive Tool Deals – Bosch Automotive gave me a heads-up about these deals (thank you, it looks like there are a lot of good Prime Day deals here!!)
Panasonic Eneloop Rechargeable AAA NiMh Batteries – I use these all the time
Panasonic Eneloop Rechargeable AA NiMh Batteries – these too

WorkPro Mini Water Pump Pliers – this looks awesome, kind of like a sleek Knipex Cobra copycat at a fraction of the price

Victorinox Pioneer X Alox Swiss Army Knife – this one’s going on my shopping list, as it looks like the perfect almost-minimalist EDC tool! I have a Pioneer but it’s missing the Pioneer X’s scissors. Update: it was still in my cart when ordering USB cables, rather than saved for later, and I took that as a sign I should order one for review purposes.

I don’t need another 10 in miter saw but a Hitachi under 25 lb and under $100, why not? If it has a shadow line on it I’d buy one on a heartbeat.. does it? Also who the hell is Astro tool?

Astro Pneumatic has been around a long time. They mostly sell specialty tools for the automotive market. My experience over the years is they offer reasonable quality tools at a reasonable price. Tool trucks sometimes carry them as lower priced alternatives or to fill out their line. I often look to them for oddball specialty sockets.

I’ve spied some deals on Labear (a Taiwanese brand – that seem OK:

These appear to all be knockoffs. Look at the 1 star reviews for pics of what users are actually receiving: https://www.walmart.com/reviews/product/667419759?ratings=1

In my opinion, just more garbage deal “reporting.” Most major media outlets and magazines are doing the same now.

Linking to ebay-like online marketplace dumping of tools purchased from Home Depot or similar are not deals.

Some of their links are to the discontinued 9Ah batteries.

Yesterday a different article recommended a deal on “the most powerful Dewalt hammer drill” and was factually inaccurate as it pointed to a model from 2 generations ago.

Some of those magazines outright lie about discounts, either by not fact-checking and price-shopping, or maybe on purpose.

How does a magazine recommend a tool-only deal as “a steal” at “60% off” or similar when the full kit is $2 less expensive?

Articles like that grind my gears on a very audible way whenever they hit my news feed.

I find the practice to be deplorable, and that site does it all the time too, although they’re not quite as bad as others.

Milwaukee tools at Walmart or Amazon are never deals, just akin to eBay listings. It’s like buying a Chick-fil-A sandwich at Walmart. Just skip the middleman and get it hot and fresh from the restaurant, and ignore anyone that tries to recommend such “deals.”

In my opinion, if someone doesn’t know that Walmart isn’t a direct authorized dealer for Milwaukee tools, and the publication doesn’t have any fact-checker or editor that knows this, that indicates a lack of authority on the topic matter.

The link to the Leatherman Bond is actually for the Leatherman Bolster. Still a good deal, though.

Thanks! *fixed* I’m not sure what happened there – maybe I was subconsciously hoping for a deal on the Bond.

Just a little feedback. Without seeing the prices here I have no idea if when I look at the listing it will be the same good price that you’re seeing. Amazon prices can bounce around so it’s important for me to know what price I’m looking for. (I realize it’s a lot of work for you to gather and report all this info, and we all appreciate it).

And to continue this rant, I’ve given up on browsing Amazon’s prime deals page because they don’t show the prices on the main page with all the listings, just X% off, which is completely meaningless. Or am I looking in the wrong place?

It tends to be an enormous pain to constantly update the prices, as Amazon tends to micro-adjust pricing on a lot of deals.

I also have some prices in this post, for historical reference – https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/best-prime-day-tool-deals-2025/%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E

In the past I have excluded mention of deals with small pricing fluctuations rather than to have to update their prices several times.

I used to include prices for every product link or mention until just a few years ago, and not doing so eliminated frustrations that I am not eager to revisit.

This time, I added some quick notes that I hoped would help.

I can’t even say that the pricing is accurate as of a certain time because posts like this can take hours to compile and put together as I switch back and forth between different priorities such as reader questions, comments, and more time-sensitive writeups. So by the time it’s ready to publish, I have to check everything manually again, during which time additional micro fluctuations will have taken place.

Thank you very much Stuart – appreciate the time & thorough work on items when they’re a good deal but also your articles in general. Not sure when I came across your site, in the last few years, but everything I feel is well researched and written from a neutral perspective – which is very important in today’s world.

I bought the NOCO GB40 jump starter a few weeks ago, since our van decided it was going to intermittently refuse to start even though the battery tested OK. After using the NOCO once last week when I would have been stranded in the middle of nowhere, I was so glad I had it on hand! It was incredibly easy to use.

I bought another one yesterday for my other vehicle when I saw they were down to $80.
