ToolGuyd Mystery Box Giveaway Favorites Assortment

12 of you should be receiving some cool tools this week – I sent packages to 11 giveaway winners and 1 reader whose needs and wants aligned with some of the other tools I needed to part with.

Dewalt Atomic Saw Package

Winner: Mike C

Mystery Box Giveaway

Winner: Beaux

Specialty Mystery Box Giveaways

  • Mystery Box: Scotty
  • Anything Package: Marc C
  • Construction Package: Jay T
  • HVAC and Anything Package: Robert P
  • Hobbyist Package: DK
  • Beginner Tools Pakcage: jbongo
  • Mechanics Tool Package: Anthony M
  • Electrical Tools Package: Abner
  • Machinist Tools Package: John G

Everything is provided as-is, and for some of the tools I had to cut the AA/AAA batteries out.

Once everyone has received their packages I might go over what I sent and why.

I still need to select a winner for our recent Bosch giveaway, and I plan to run another quick giveaway this week.

There will be more giveaways in 2020, as I move to speed up my pace of reviews and also reduce the number of tools that I don’t plan to test long-term or use for personal projects.

Update: The winners would have seen UPS shipping notifications around the New Year.

If you have functional items leftover, and if they don’t take up more space than, say, my Packout stack, my wife says I can have them — if they’re free. Well, after January, as I am having surgery next week and will be a little while before I can move stuff around in my storage locker.

I am so excited! This feels like a surprise present from someone that knows what you would really like to have. The package arrives today, but I have to wait for the end of the work day and coaching obligations before I can open it up. I’ll definitely put up a comment about the package when I can.

Thank you very much! This is one site that I check several times a day, and I really appreciate the excellent articles and money-saving tips. Thanks to this site I’ve made quite a few purchases over the last few years that were based on much better information than I would have had otherwise.

Hi Stuart, thank you so much for the Dewalt Atomic Saw package! UPS kept me waiting on the delivery until well after 8p last night; the anticipation for “Christmas in January” was hard to endure! (particularly when it’s the first thing you’ve ever won…I nearly didn’t enter, thinking it was impossible.) The Dewalt saw and many of the ancillary tools will be going to work immediately today. Thanks again for the great site & community that you’ve created here, and I’ll stay tuned to my daily ToolGuyd email as always…Mike C

I was super excited when I got the UPS notification last week. A mysterious box from Toolguyd! Thank you so much for the tools, it was a wonderful way to start the week. (Ironically, it arrived in my wife’s birthday.) Thanks for such a great site, wonderful information, and good community.

    Thank you so much Stuart!

Even though most of these tools will be redistributed (as discussed), it was so much fun opening the box and seeing all the tools you had generously sent my way.

I really appreciate this small community and the way they you manage this site.

    Thanks for all you do.

Thanks so much for the mystery box. I got the ‘construction’ themed box, and it had a bunch of stuff I can use. Had to laugh at the 5 different hammers. I’m keeping the Milwaukee 17 oz milled head framer, and the DeWalt demo hammer. Glad to have the Milwaukee stud tape measure, 11 in 1 screwdriver, & chalk line — living here in Milwaukee, I’m a fan of anything red . But the Dewalt wire cutting pliers is terrific. I’ll find homes for the duplicates, and send you some comments after I use the stuff. Love the website – its really helped me out.

You’re welcome, I’m glad you are enjoying it! With the hammers, I figured some choices would be nice. =)
