I just looked through Home Depot’s Black Friday 2015 sales flyer, and one deal caught my attention. A number of readers asked for a heads-up should I find a good deal on Ridgid Pro tool boxes, and I did see such a deal.
For Black Friday, the 3-piece combo will be on sale for just $98. Basically, you pay for the gear cart and tool box, and you get the top (smaller sized) tool box organizer for free.

You should check out our Ridgid Pro tool box review to see why we like these tool boxes so much.
I don’t like these Ridgid Pro tool boxes as much as I do Dewalt ToughSystem tool boxes, which are eligible for Amazon’s $25 off $100 promo right now, but Ridgid’s are less expensive and almost as good. The Gear Cart has some nice standout features too.
Oh, and you can save an extra $5 if you order online, which should drop the price to $93.
Finally, here’s a discussion about a similar deal from last June.

The deal should go live on Friday, 11/27/15, and it’s uncertain as to how long it’ll last. It *should* be available online as well, possibly not. And if it is available online, you would have to add all 3 pieces to your cart before the discount is automatically applied.

Saw these at the store the other day. They also had the Dewalt Tough System radio out in the tool area, price listed was $199.
I understand the benefit of being able to stack these up, but having to remove the top 2 to get to the bottom one kills this for me. Wish these things came with larger drawers or else I’d need to build some drawers to put these on.

The Dewalt Tough boxes are the better solution what kills it for me is the cost of the cart for the tough boxes its around 200 dollars that’s crazy to me. I will say the T-stacks from Dewalt haven’t taken off though they were more of the lbox competitor from Dewalt but they really don’t market them well at all.
Stuart
True, but have you seen the ToughSystem carrier? It’s extremely robust and heavy duty.
Maurice
Have you ever tried to load the DeWalt tough System into a pickup truck?
The back of the dolly is poorly designed, and catches on the truck tailgate.
Pretty much impossibly to load by oneself.
Plus it is way overpriced.

I purchased this Ridgid set this summer. I love it. I actually prefer it to the DeWalt ToughSystem. The Ridgid’s metal locking connectors can be used as handles, and seem a lot tougher than DeWalt’s puny plastic ones. Ridgid’s latches also feel higher quality, and the overall durability seems on par. The removable lid on the largest Ridgid box is my biggest annoyance (I wish it was hinged), but overall I think these are really high-quality and an excellent value!

These Keter/Ridgid boxes are awesome, big deal you gotta unstack them, that takes what seconds?
I saw the Dewalt ones at HD the other day,for that price they better be made of gold or something.
If I were a PRO Contractor Id have a ton of these for the price in savings I can get more tools to stick in them.

I was thinking more for storage purposes, not as a contractor. If I were a contractor going in and out of jobs these would be great.
I’m looking for longer term storage to pull out less used items.

Id imagine the top and middle style would be good for that. Having drawers in them thou id think that would make the dust/moisture seals pointless. You could always build racks or shelves of somekind to put them on.
For storage Bosch Lboxes and systainers seem popular.

I just ordered from the website. This deal looked very good and it appears to have gone through.

If you add the HDHOLIDAY Promo code, it will remove the promotion for the free $29 top organizer case.
Stuart
Oh, did not know that – thanks for the heads-up!

I just purchased this deal online. I added all three units and they automatically discounted the smaller one.

I know this deal is way over, but I bought this set during a similar sale around Memorial Day. Since then, I’ve purchased another organizer and the open-top storage bin. One of the organizers and the bin stay latched together in my truck. The organizer has a 12v impact and drill and an assortment of wood and sheet metal screws. It’s surprising how many times this setup has come in handy. The bin is a catch-all with snacks, clean socks, winter PT uniform components, and more.
The combo here has worked great when I need to transport a number of tool across the yard. Honestly, the most I used it so far was in putting together a dog kennel.
