Rockwell has recently upgraded their entire line of Sonicrafter oscillating multi-tools. The new flagship model, the F50, was designed with speed and performance in mind.
The F50 Sonicrafter, kit RK5141K, is built with a 4.0A motor and designed with a 5.0° oscillating angle. Most oscillating tools have oscillation angles under 3.5°. Internal counterweights help to keep vibrations down.

Rockwell has also come out with the mid-level F30 (RK5131K kit, $119), which features a 3.5A motor and 4.0° oscillating angle, the value-priced Sonicrafter (RK5121K kit, $79), entry-level ShopSeries Sonictool (SS5121, $59), and a new 20V Max cordless Sonicrafter (K2863K, $159).
Right now, Lowes is the only retailer carrying the new Sonicrafters, although the new 20V Max cordless model is also listed via Amazon (buy now).

First Thoughts
The oscillating multi-tool market has become highly competitive in recent years, with top-tier brands introducing new models with cutting-edge high performance and user-friendly features.
The new F50 Sonicrafter is a lean mean cutting machine. Rockwell boasts that the F is for Fast, and that the F50 is their fastest and most powerful Sonicrafter ever, and the specs seem to confirm this.
It remains to be seen whether the F50 Sonicrafter can hold its own against premium models, such as the Fein FMM 350 Q MultiMaster and Bosch MX30, but it’s worth remembering that the Fein and Bosch are pro-grade tools while Rockwell mainly caters to DIYers and “price-conscious tradesmen”.

I tried one out when they first hot the shelves at Lowes. My thoughts:
-very heavy, more so than the Bosch
-5 degree occilation makes it more challenging for precision cuts.
– I will cut wood fast, but I had to use force and I was afraid of ruining my blades. They’re expensive!
– stuff like sanding, I thought I would notice a big difference vs the 20v Dewalt but really didn’t.
These are just my thoughts. It feels like a pro tool, and maybe its great for big multi tool jobs, but I thought it was a little overkill for me. I wouldn’t hesitate to get it, I just don’t need the weight and power it has.
