The SOG Key-Knife is exactly what it sounds like – a small key-shaped folding knife. It features a 1.5″ straight edge drop point blade and a nail file with picker-tip.
For a little over $10, you get a small knife that is always on your keyring until you need it.

I’m not fond of how suspicious a key-shaped knife handle might look, especially given how SOG markets how the blade and nail file are smartly hidden, but cannot argue with how useful carrying a small knife blade can be for random everyday needs.
Buy Now(via Amazon) – on 8/21/19 it was discovered that the Sog key knife was no longer available
The Swiss-Tech Utili-Key ($8 via Amazon) is a reasonable alternative to the SOG Key-Knife. It’s been around for a while and has a few extra functions, and while its knife edge is probably not as sharp as SOG’s blade, its blade is thicker and thus possibly more durable..

I have the version of the SOG that only has a blade. I find it quite handy and well made. Doesn’t weigh much either.

Cool. The little blade looks flat ground which I like for passing through materials.

That’s cool, I like it, mainly for the knife. Price is acceptable. Do they offer replacement blades?
Stuart
How many folding knives come with disposable/replaceable blades?
Jeff
Strange to design it that way. Almost like it was designed to get through security checkpoints.

Being all metal that wouldn’t happen. It has enough mass to set off a magnetic scanner.

…and so would the rest of the keys on a keychain. I doubt that security is going to inspect every key that you have that closely to ever notice it.

I have a utili-key that passes through all the time.
First time I left it on by mistake. Figured I was getting pulled out and patted down for sure. They didn’t even blink.
I used to try to remember to take it off, but now I don’t even bother.

Usually your keys bypass the metal detector

I use a Victorinox midnight manager

Very small and with a Pen, Light, Bottle Opener, Scissors, in addition to the knife it is the PERFECT combination of size and function for me.
