I have never worn a tool vest a day in my life, so to me Stanley’s new vest looks both goofy and exceptionally versatile. It seems to be packed with plenty of pockets of different useful sizes, and I like that they managed to squeeze high-visibility and reflective accents and panels without making the entire vest orange and silver.

What happens when you bend over to pick up the part you dropped? With my luck EVERYTHING would fall out. I also don’t find things in front of me that helpful. To often I’m to close to a wall, panel, ladder, or other person to be able to reach around to my front to grab a tool.

I have used vests regularly and love the functionality – things don’t fall out like you’d think they might. Being a dewalt/stanley guy I came across this online at least a year ago and tried to put my hands on it but couldn’t find availability – it seemed that it was originally introduced in Europe or Canada and I think there was a Bostitch version available – price does seem a bit high

I think I would stick with a Blaklader Kangaroo vest.. They are pretty nice. This looks like a cheap knockoff..

I can say this much, I would NOT want to be the guy to accidentally sit down with a hammer still on the back of the vest. Can’t imagine that feeling to good.
$71.00 is much higher than the price I’d be willing to pay, especially since if one tool falls out, I wonder if when you try to pick these up if others would fall out as well.
I wonder what the warranty on this item is though? As with fabric, once this rips, you either repair or throw the item away.

I will state that at $59.99, plus free shipping (what about tax though?) that is a better price deal.
Still not exactly that inexpensive though. Then again, I can’t imagine ever wearing a tool vest, let alone a modern day Stanley branded tool vest though.
