Stanley Tape Measure Deals – Holiday 2015

Nov 9, 2015 Stuart 8 Comments

It makes sense that we’re bound to see plenty of Stanley tape measure deals for the holidays. You know, with Stanley and Stanley FatMax being the most popular brands of tape measures and all.

Both Home Depot and Lowes are offering different styles of Stanley tape measure bonus packs. I’m pretty sure we’re bound to see one or more Stanley tape measure deals pop up at one or both retailers.

In previous years, Home Depot has offered the same FatMax double pack deal, and Lowes had a cheap Stanley tape measure deal.

Don’t need a tape measure? Maybe one of our other holiday tool deal finds is of something you want!

Stanley Tape Measure Holiday Deal at Home Depot

Booooo.

Sorry, I’m just a little annoyed to see that this year’s Stanley tape measure special buy is just a 2-pack, and not a 4-pack as in a number of previous holiday seasons.

I think that this deal made an appearance last year, but the main deal was a FatMax double pack of tape measures for $20. Here’s the discussion of that deal, in case it pops up again this year.

The pricing is still pretty good though – $10 for two PowerLock tape measures.

With this bundle, you’re basically getting a free 16′ PowerLock tape measure for the price of just the 25′ tape.

The 25′ tape is made in the USA with global materials, and the 16′ tape measure is made in Thailand.

Did you know that the Stanley PowerLock tape measure was my second-ever tool review here on ToolGuyd? It’s a simple but reasonably comfortable and durable design.

It won’t win any toughness, blade standout, or feature awards, but everyone – including myself – continues to use and love it anyway.

Price: $10

Stanley Tape Measure Holiday Deals at Lowes

Deja vu, here we go again. Here’s the discussion of this same Stanley Hi-Viz tape measure deal from last year.

Stanley Hi-Vis Tape Measures Lowes Holiday 2015

You get a 4-pack of Stanley tape measures, for just $10. That’s a hard value to beat.

I’ve seen these tape measures online, or at least the 25-footer, but they don’t seem to be widely available. Maybe they only appear on the market around this time of year as holiday bonus buys and special buys, and similar seasonal promos.

I’d buy this if I wanted an assortment of different tape measure sizes and didn’t really care about long-term durability. But for daily or even regular use, I’d look at tried-and-true tape measure models.

Still, 4 tapes for $10…

At, so it’s Lowes who gets the Stanley FatMax 2-pack of tape measures for $20 deal this year.

We discussed this deal last year, when it was available at Home Depot.

This is a very popular tape measure, and it’s also made in the USA (with global materials).

You can tell where these tape measures are made right away when you see them in person, given the American Flag on the tape measures themselves, the “Made in USA with global materials” logo on the packaging, and the American Flag design of the packaging card itself.

Where are these made again?

$20 for two very popular Stanley FatMax tape measures? I think I’ll have to buy a pack this year.

My main issue is the case is now plastic with a fake metallic finish, not actual metal any more.

I got the four-pack about a year ago, but i had to go to a different store to get it. It came with the 12, 16, and 25′ as well as a cute little 3′ keychain model that i’ve probably used as much as any because i have it with me. Great deal… too bad it’s not coming back this year.

I could actually use a pocket tape more than a full size one right now, with the same idea, just to have one with me.

Milwaukee is coming out with a keychain tape measure as well, but I haven’t seen it yet.

Thanks for posting the link. Will be going to Sears or Home Depot in the next couple days, and might check them out. I don’t like to buy things like that without seeing them, and our nearest town with a Sears or HD is almost a 2 hour drive.

Makes shopping for things difficult sometimes, especially something that you want to se firsthand, instead of just ordering over the Internet with just a picture and description to go by.

Fatmax are the best with a thicker & wider tape that won’t collapse under 7-9 feet.

The other Stanley’s are just inexpensive, fair quality, homeowner grade tapes

This is correct. I go through 3-4 tape measures a year, and I’ve tried almost all commonly available brands including every variety of Stanley.

The normal yellow FatMax tapes (the two-pack above) are the best of the bunch. I just hope they haven’t switched the oversized hook—gets in the way more than it helps, at least for my purposes.
