Stiletto TiBone Hammer plus Milwaukee Screwdriver Set Promo

For a limited time, buy a Stiletto TiBone titanium hammer from Home Depot, and you get a free Milwaukee 8pc screwdriver set (48-22-2008).

These driver sets have a retail value of $30, and the hammers are priced at $220. One model is priced at $200.

You have your choice of curved or straight handles, 14 oz. or 15 oz. hammer heads, and smooth or milled hammer faces. In total, there are 8 different hammers to chose from.

There are a bunch of reasons why lighter titanium hammers are easier on the arms than heavier traditional steel hammers. I disagree with some of the marketing claims, but overall there are going to be some advantages, assuming there are no major faults in the design.

With lighter hammers that have near framing-length handles, comparable power comes from the greater swinging speed that can be achieved.

There have been quite a few lighter and higher velocity hammers in recent years, and I’m generally a big fan. But, compared to steel high velocity hammers, titanium hammers could potentially offer greater shock and vibration dampening.

Titanium hammers also require a little more every-now-and-then maintenance, as they are engineered with user-replaceable faces for greater durability. This is because titanium alloys cannot match the strength of steel when it comes to impact durability.

Back to the deal. If you’ve been eyeballing a Stiletto TiBone hammer, a Milwaukee screwdriver set freebie might be enough to sway your hand into ordering one. BUT, this deal is only really worth it if you’ve got Home Depot gift cards to spend. The same hammers are currently $169 via Amazon, which means you could get a TiBone hammer AND Milwaukee screwdriver set for less than the Home Depot combo. Still, I felt the combo promo bundle to be worth mentioning.

I had this hammer and I lived it, but after 7 years of hard use the claw was worn down to unusably.
My favorite feature was the side puller, made pulling a stubborn nail easy to pull out.

I have wrist and hand issues, so asked for a titanium hammer (not stilletto) as a birthday gift and got it. I don’t do framing, etc., just some nailing for diy projects, but it is a great hammer if a person has reason to have to go more gently with impact. Of course, I had a pretty cheap hammer prior to that. I was able to try it out first from a friend who had one.

I like my Stilleto . It has a nice feel to it . I hardly ever use the claw , as I mostly pull nails with pincers .

Interesting. Thanks for the reference back to your “titanium test” article. Now, if only I had $200 to drop on a hammer, I’d be all over it.
