Here’s a rundown of some of tool-related things we’ve been talking about over on our sister blog OhMyGuyd.
Striker Magnetic LED Light Mine – this handy LED light belongs more on the refrigerator than in the workshop, but it’s nifty idea nonetheless. The price dropped to $7 this morning.

Timbuk2 Tool Shed Bag – this tool roll looks to be perfectly sized for a portable mountain biking maintenance kit, but may be a bit too large for those that ride with minimal packs.
Pelican Cases – I’ve seen these used as portable tool kits, but mostly for more expensive test equipment and electronics. Pelican does offer a new toolbox with drawers, but we haven’t seen one in person (yet).
Sharpie Liquid Pencil – a pencil that writes as smooth as ink and is erasable for 3 days before becoming permanent.
ITW Tac Link Accessory Carabiner – these are flat out the best accessory carabiners I have ever used. Made in the USA to boot.
More is to come as we review winter gear, mountain biking gear, electronics, snacks that will burn the skin off your lips, and other non-tool related gear, gadgets, and things that we find awesome. OhMyGuyd is only one month old, but hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much as you do ToolGuyd.

I purchased the Striker light about a month ago after seeing it on DIY Network. For what it is I love it, it’s not the brightest light but being you can place it on anything metal in about any position it makes it useful. I purcahsed it for an emergency light and have left it on the garge mounted in a quick to get spot. For being one LED light bulb it puts out quite a bit of light.
