Bosch 12V Max Cordless Screwdriver and Impact Driver Kit
Over at Amazon, they have this Bosch 12V Max cordless screwdriver and impact driver combo kit (CLPK27-120), for $98.
The choice of tools is interesting. I suppose that the impact can be used for driving in heavier duty fasteners and for drilling with hex shank impact-rated bits, and the screwdriver would be more of an assembly and finish work tool.

I’m a flashlight and Milwaukee JUNKIE! But I don’t get the Milwaukee flashlights. As always thanks for the Deals TG!
Stuart
What in particular makes you hesitant about them? There are some pros and cons, but overall I think they’re great.
You’re welcome! It seemed like a good idea to mix the deals into one post. There are some others, but these seemed to be the best and of greatest potential interest.

Strange but the GOBARE code at Acme Tools does not work on the specific Hitachi bare tools that they show as eligible and part of the promotion. No discount, no sale.
Adam
Give them a call. They’ve been able to fix stuff like that for me in the past.

There are amazing 18650 or 18350 lights now like Nitecore. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VVV7W9Y/
Great LEDs and rechargeable batteries that are standard (also the battery for all cordless tools, most laptops and the “4v” Milwaukee redlithium battery [3.7 v]).
Also the price.
As a bonus I’ll say https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/biolite/biolite-headlamp-wildly-capable-simply-comfortable
I know it’s kickstarter but I was intrigued enough to back it. I’ll see.

I meant this as a reply to Stuarts question. Sorry if it is confusing.

I have to agree on this. I just bought an 18650 x4 BLF Q8. Waiting for it to arrive now.

That’s a very good deal on the CLPK27-120; normally, the discounted kit is the CPLK22-120 (with PS31 drill).
I have the CLPK27, and like it – with hex shank bits (Milwaukee Shockwave in my case) the PS21 works fine for most drilling, and is a lot more convenient as a driver.

10% off almost everything at tools-plus.com currently. Dewalt seems to be one of the few excluded brands.
fred
Tools-Plus was a company that we used to buy from at their bricks and mortar store in Waterbury CT. We’d also buy from Coastal Tool (about 30 minutes north) in West Hartford.
John S
Always have had good experiences with both Tools Plus and Coastal for internet orders.

Lowes.com has DeWalt days deals through the end of October. I found nice discount on one of DeWalt’s new wet/dry vacs.

. . . needed here in NC after two hurricane strikes that more than challenged my 20 year old Craftsman vac

I wish the Acme sale ran through tomorrow. I’d love to pick up the M12 or M18 right angle impact driver, but have to wait for my paycheck to clear the bank. Oh well.
Alex
Is this a good deal?

Possibly, but it’s hard to tell. These tools were released 5 years ago, and I can’t find a lot of listings of the same combo kit for comparison purposes.

$10 less than the hammer drill/2 4.0’s alone, plus you get a free impact driver. I’d say it’s a good deal, if you’re already in the Makita universe.

So in “The choice of tools is interesting. ” interesting is now a synonym for bizarre?
I got all 3 tools (add the drill driver)/batteries/charger for $99 at Lowe’s on a Father’s Day deal a while ago, so this does not excite me. But if someone needed those tools right now and already had a drill driver, it’s an OK deal.
