If you buy something through our links, ToolGuyd might earn an affiliate commission.

Here are the latest tool deals on some of your favorite brands at popular retailers. If you don’t see anything aligned with your shopping list, keep in mind that Father’s Day promos are around the corner.

Milwaukee Tool Flash Sale 5-8-23

Acme Tools has a Milwaukee Tool Flash Sale – save $40 off $200+ select tool purchases, using coupon code 40MAY. The code includes plenty of cordless power tools, Packout tool boxes and organizers, and more.

Home Depot Special Buy Tool Deals of the Day 5-8-2023

Home Depot has another round of tool deals of the day. Some of the prices seem average, to put it nicely, but there are some decent bargains.

I’d pick up the Milwaukee Shockwave impact socket set (43pc 3/8″ for $99), or 3/8″ mechanics tool set in Packout organizer (28pc 3/8″ SAE for $90) if I didn’t already have them. The M12 right angle die grinder also looks to be a decent price at $159 with a battery.

Milwaukee Packout Rolling Tool Box with Buy More Save More Logo

Home Depot has the Milwaukee Packout rolling tool box for $139, and it’s eligible for a new promo. Spend $270 on any combination of select Packout tool boxes, organizers, bags, or accessories, save an extra $50.

Thank you Joe for the tip!

Bosch Woodworking Deals – Router Kit – $199, Starlock Plus Oscillating Multi-Tool Set – $168.87
Klein 5pc Insulated Tool Set – $89.99

Amazon also has the Craftsman 4V Gyroscopic Screwdriver on sale for $31.98.

Tool Nut’s Tool Deals are worth a quick look. The top 3 deals include new Makita savings, a Milwaukee Packout “buy more, get a free organizer” promo, and a free Milwaukee M18 tire inflator or blower with purchase of an XC 6Ah battery 2-pack.

Ohio Power Tool also has a couple of unique deals that are more specialty focused. For example, buy a Milwaukee Bolt safety helmet, get a free LED penlight.

KC Tool has a Knipex deal of the day – 10″ Cobra adjustable pliers plus a diagonal cutter and a zippered pouch for $59.99.

That M18 inflator deal looks good. If it was for the 8.0’s at a little higher price, I’d get that. Nothing wrong with 6.0’s, but the 8.0’s are the same form factor with greater capacity. That Craftsman 4.0V screwdriver looks intriguing as well…

    Stuart,
The Craftsman screwdriver you have linked is not gyroscopic. It is a single speed w/ forward and reverse switch.

Looks like Amazon quit carrying it at the end of 2021.

      Thanks!

Sorry, I searched for the gyro, that came up, and I let my excitement get the best of me. I’d swear it was back in stock last winter, but maybe it was just this lookalike model too.

Home Depot had a set of Milwaukee M18 two 12 amp batteries, an 8 amp battery and a rapid charger for $329 as part of their special buy of the day. I saw it maybe 15 – 20 mins after the deals went live and quickly ordered it. It showed about 200+ available when I purchased it. Afterwards, I went back to the deals page and saw the set was listed as sold out. Now it’s not even listed at all on the deals page and when I click on the product link from my email order confirmation, the page that pops up just says the product is no longer available…no pictures of the set or anything else. Now I’m just really hoping they don’t cancel my order

The $40 off $200 worth of Milwaukee is a pretty good deal. But what I’m most interested in right now is a deal on 5ah Powerstack batteries and for the DCG460 to hit the market.

Speaking of new tools, I just noticed that Torque Test Channel got their hands on what seems to be a prototype of a new Dewalt cordless impact, which may or may not be the rumored DCF961 “project ludicrous”. Its performance is very impressive, putting up 1000 ft-lb on the dyno despite being only 1/2 drive.

Surprised to see it is a 1/2″. Was expecting it to be a 3/4″ or even 1″. Though it was clearly not a final model, so it may be a larger anvil once released.

I grabbed the Milwaukee circular saw and 5.0ah battery combo deal from Home Depot this morning. Seemed like a good deal to upgrade from a Dewalt corded. What do you all think of this saw?

It’s heavy. That’s my only kinda complaint.

Oops. You didn’t mean the Rear handle model?

Milwaukee makes a few circular saws. Which one did you get?

They have their 6.5 and 7.25 w/ 5.0 bat and charger.

Regardless, I have their 7.25 framing saw and it is a beast. I’ve also used their 6.5 and it isn’t a slouch either. I may buy a 6.5 shortly just because it is a bit smaller and lighter. Both will cut 2x easily, but where the 7.25 shines is cutting larger stock and angle cuts. But a smaller, lighter saw would come in handy for cutting overhead or in tight spots.

I got the 7.25 (not the rear handle) tool-only and it came with the 5.0ah, no charger, but I have a few of those laying around already. The free battery deals seem to still be active, but the tool-only price is back up to where it was.

50pc Milwaukee reciprocating saw blade assortment seems like a good buy/infrequently on sale from what my brain tells me. I’ve been looking for a good multipurpose assignment of blades for over a year waiting for something like this to come about (having multiple varieties like torch, wrecker, and ax versus one specific material type). This assortment comes with 2 carbide blades also. Think I’ll be hopping on this one, and will probably be set on recip blades for many years to come.

… Heck the set I have now was a 10pc assortment purchased 3 years ago when I bought the saw – I’ve put them through hell but I’m still just a homeowner with infrequent usage.

There is a new in-store PackOut promo at HD. Spend $219 in PO, black tumblers included, among others on a decently long list of skus, get a PO organizer for $1 ($49 value). Essentially the same as the online deal as far as value, but does force you into an organizer.

I picked up the 21 degree M18 Fuel Framing Nailer with the extended magazine. I thought it was a decent buy for around $370. I’ll be using it soon, so I can’t wait too long for a better sale. Thoughts?

The framing nailers don’t go on sale very often.

With deals like these, buy first and think later. You can always return it or request a price adjustment. If a deal of the day sells out or ends before you decide, that’s usually a bigger regret.
