With this one, I believe I got distracted by the price, went to price-compare with last year’s sale price ($99), and missed the typo. Last year’s deal included a screw sample pack, this year it seems they’re giving a rare straight-up discount.

What 30%? Are you talking about the OPT in-stock sale? That was $50 off $250+ and $100 off $500+, but in-stock tools only.
10-15% off what you want is better than 20% off what you don’t.

I want a quick opinion:
I need a drywall screwgun due to ongoing house projects. The Bosch and Milwaukee have a promo, the Dewalt appears to have a combo pricing available. I have not yet bought into any 18/20V system…does it matter which one I get? In terms of long-term purchases the only thing on the horizon is a PEX expander, but that’s far enough away that I’m not sure it factors into a brand preference for Dewalt (I know, Milwaukee has one too, but I already have Dewalt 12v tools and am avoiding a separate 12v system).

If you already have a couple of Dewalt 12V Max tools, their 20V Max system (usually) gives you a 12V/20V Max multi-voltage charger, which might be a convenience for you.

Assuming you are in North America I would lean towards Milwaukee or Dewalt over Bosch. I have nothing against the quality of Bosch tools, but I think if you’re going to buy into a new platform Dewalt and Milwaukee are better choices in NA. It will be easier to find tools, accessories, parts and service. The tool selection will be better as well when it comes to whatever future needs you might have. For example, both Dewalt and Milwaukee have PEX expanders currently but I don’t believe that Bosch does, at least not in the NA market.
