ToughBuilt has announced that they will soon be launching 7 new StackTech drawer tool boxes, including 3 rolling drawer boxes.
If all goes well, the new ToughBuilt StackTech drawer tool boxes are expected to launch in Summer 2025.
The new drawer and rolling drawer StackTech tool boxes include:

These boxes join ToughBuilt StackTech 3-drawer and 1-drawer tool boxes that launched at Lowe’s stores earlier.
Features include:
- Locking drawers
- Upgraded dividers (more customization)
- More internal space (flatter drawer bottoms)
- Slides + floor caster on rolling drawers
* compared to existing 3-drawer
Here are all of the new boxes. Including the existing 1-drawer and 3-drawer boxes, that will greatly increase ToughBuilt’s StackTech drawer tool box count to 9 solutions.
ToughBuilt has also announced their Pro workshop storage system, featuring cabinets, drawers, workbenches, shelves, slot-style pegboard, magnetic wraps, and accessories.

There are more rolling drawer tool boxes than ToughBuilt showed off in late 2023 when the StackTech system was first announced, and it seems that the rolling boxes and standalone drawer tool boxes received some improvements since then.
The workshop storage system also features some changes compared to when it was first revealed, including a top cabinet with removable crates.
It looks like all of the cabinets and workbenches ship in ready-to-assemble (RTA) format, which I think could simplify shipping compared to welded cabinets.
There will be more details when everything is closer to launch.

Good to see Toughbuilt still alive. But you’ve got to wonder if Lowe’s will drag them down by not allocating enough floor space. Serious prospective buyers are going to want to see and examine physical units before plunking down this kind of money.

Not to mince words, I don’t see how Lowe’s will give floor space to 7 new boxes.
The existing 3-drawer tool box is $199 at the time of this posting. I expect for all of the new StackTech products to cost at least that much.
ToughBuilt has expanded their USA distribution beyond Lowe’s, and should be far less reliant on them than in the past.
It could be enough for prospective buyers to examine any drawer box and then order the configuration they want online. We’ll see if that’s true.

Stuart, are you talking about in the comment the tool boxes or the workshop storage? I went later today to Lowe’s to look for something else. I also looked at storage. I saw Gladiator, Kobalt and Craftsman workshop set ups, so I could poke and prod. I also noted in the tool section that for modular boxes, Klein modular boxes have eaten into the floor/shelf space given to Toughbuilt. The Toughbuilt display seem to be a little above half what I’ve seen lately.

The tool boxes. I think there’s a very slim chance Lowe’s will allocate additional space for the RTA garage storage system. That kind of product takes up a lot of shelf space.

what is the best way to find out where toughbuilt is sold at? it doesn’t appear to be via their website.
never mind. after peppering their AI chatbot with queries for 5 minutes, it spewed a list of lowes, amazon, home depot, ace hardware, and tractor supply.
i was definitely not aware of the home depot, ace hardware, or tractor supply avenues.
i’ll post this anyways if anyone has any retailers or information to add. frankly, i think it’s unfortunate that it’s this difficult to even have to work this hard to figure out where any brand is sold.

Acme has some. e.g. the rolling tool box . Some are in s tock, others aren’t (yet? anymore).
Please avoid copy/pasting info from chatbots that you haven’t verified to be true. Stacktech is NOT available at Home Depot, Ace Hardware, or Tractor Supply. Some of ToughBuilt’s other products have been available at various retailers for a while, even at Harbor Freight.

I’ve come to start buying all my stack tech and tough built tools, pouches and boxes from AliExpress their variety is pretty massive including tools that aren’t even advertised in the US which is always nice definitely check their for the new boxes it might appear their first before you can find it in store. I found out about AliExpress through reddit checked it myself but was still skeptical so I ordered some of the stack tech clips tech attachments that allow a single pouch on the corner of your box… Everything is by the toughbuilt brand. Gotta be my favorite find of 2024

That might not be a good idea these days. If it’s shipping from China, you’ll have to pay hefty shipping fees on heavy and bulky tool boxes, and as the de minimis exemption has ended, you will likely be charged the full tariff before the shipment will pass customs into the US.

Not sure why everyone blames Lowe’s so much. If you read their financial reports and press released from a couple years ago they were having tons of issues paying their factories and getting stock to Lowe’s in the first place. Sure, Lowe’s probably stopped investing time and effort into the brand after that but why would a retailer try and support you when you can’t even meet your contracted order volumes and dates?

Floor space. Lowes wants retail space to push brands like Craftsman, Kobalt, Klein, DeWalt, Flex, Bosch and Skil. Even now, on their site, Flex is the image for rolling toolboxes and Craftsman for Tool Cabinets.

Right, but why wouldn’t they do that when one of the brands can’t even supply them the product for the space they were given? I don’t care how nice your product might be, I’m not going to leave space open and keep investing effort when Toughbuilt was late or missed complete deliveries.
Or course they would start giving the floor space to different brands who actually supply product on time. These deals are sometimes over a year ahead in the making, by the time the floor gets new displays the brand has known for a long time they needed to meet deadlines and TB just wasn’t doing that. Again, this is all public in their statements and earnings calls before they got delisted.
Lowes obviously isn’t doing them any favors but it’s not like Toughbuilt has been a wonderful supplier in any way. Just look how their dates slide and slide when they announce something to the public, I can’t imagine it was much better for their retailers.

ToughBuilt brought in 125,000 kilograms of modular tool box / storage system related inventory just before the tariffs. That was 16 containers worth from their Chinese manufacturer.
That March 2025 shipment was their largest ever shipment of inventory.

I bought my 700 series from Lowe’s last year in Dayton TN on sale. That store still carries a decent amount of Toughbuilt products, or they did as of a couple months ago. I don’t shop at Lowe’s very often, I prefer Home Depot. With Amazon you have to check every day on products you are interested in for a sale. I have found they have plenty of sales on tools but it only lasts a couple days.

Are they going to update the current 3 equal size drawer unit to have locking / the other listed improvements? Having to use two locks to secure a lid on their lidded boxes also seems like it could use improvement as well.

I would buy these in a heartbeat; if I was not so deeply invested in MW already; to eliminate the bright red you can spot from half a mile away.
And ToughBuilt would need to come up with a slim organizer version. I have probably a dozen MW slim organizers, modded, to hold 8, 10 and more things in the space of 1 cup. That’s not something I can ever give up … unless they come up with a slim organizer.
I really wish Lowe’s would give them some extra floor space; but that seems to have gone to Klein. No, I’m never switching from bright red to bright orange; even if it could make sense to have color coded tool stacks per tool brand or task at hand.

The lock/mechanism for the new locking (not just latching) drawers are the silver looking thing on the left rail. It slides up and down. Stuart mentioned casters in the rolling boxes…I don’t see them?

Does anyone know the dimensions and ETA of the Transporter? I’m looking at getting an SUV fridge/freezer and wondering if that would fit in the back of a full size SUV.

Last Friday I finally decided to bite the bullet and start with a ToughBuilt rolling box. Local Lowe’s website said they were in stock. Drove over and started the hunt. Of course everything is disorganized and out of place. Covered with the infamous Lowe’s dust. I was disappointed to find that despite the website’s inventory, the store had zero rolling boxes in stock. Guess I’ll check Tractor Supply based on the other comments here.

I really want to like these. I don’t have a huge need for mobile toolboxes but from photos these seem like they could function reasonably as mostly-stationary-but-occasionally-mobile toolboxes. Not sure where to see them in person, though. I didn’t see any Stacktech boxes last time I was at my local Lowe’s.
