Just When I Gave up Hope for ToughBuilt StackTech

ToughBuilt StackTech Tool Box System in White Color Closeup

Just when I gave up hope for the ToughBuilt StackTech system, they teased that they were coming out with a new clean white colorway.

In the April Fools Day post on social media, someone complimented the images, and if I recall correctly ToughBuilt replied and said something about “this isn’t a rendering.”

ToughBuilt StackTech Tool Box System in White

The now-deleted social media post features ToughBuilt’s 3-drawer and 1-drawer tool boxes, plus the roller cart, all in white and gray with a pink accent color for the locks and handles.

I’m now doubting what I read about this “not just being a rendering,” but the post is gone with no way to check.

Is it a rendering or a one-off prototype? A teaser of what’s coming, or what might never be? All I know is that the colors look good.

ToughBuilt has been focusing on growing their business and StackTech distribution internationally. Maybe we’ll actually see these tool boxes in this colorway some day. Or maybe not, and that’ll be something else to be disappointed about.

Needs more pink and/or light blue options. And bigger wheels.

They’d shun this. Too many nooks and crannies to clean and sanitize.

I beg to differ. You could be correct on these are quite up to the highest standards . But on other hand, I have seen straight up metal rolling tool boxes in health care facilities. And with the growing trend of “secondary medical facilities” of clinics and urgent cares…I’ll say the is a growing market for cheaper medical furniture and equipment.

You don’t know how gross wireless carts and desktop computers get in a hospital. There’s a reason they don’t come back to I.T. unless absolutely necessary.

There are old rolling tables, carts, and stools over 30 years old that are only wiped on the top touch surfaces.

I can think of I.T, engineering, and bio/OT folks who would love to hide their tools in something nicer than a three-and-a-half wheeled Rubbermaid cart.

Can they stop spending time and money on these products meant to go viral and actually work on getting their product lines filled out and in stores? For a company with heavy cash flow issues, this seems like such a pointless endeavor.

This would take minimal time and money. And they have been doing a great job expanding the sale of what they currently have. This may allow them to survive and fulfill their product line.

I doubt the people in marketing is pulling double duty on the factory floor. It’s marketing and it has people talking about it., so mission accomplished.

I’d agree, I’m really glad I decided to skip on their system because they’ve fallen off every cliff possible. There’s a few hand tools I’d like to try but my Lowe’s took away all their shelf space for those things almost two years ago.

This company frustrates me so much. If they had come out with their rolling drawers FIRST instead of starting with the SAME boxes that everyone else had, they would have had a huge lead on the competition. Whoever was responsible for that decision should be fired. Now, Klein and Milwaukee already have their rolling drawers and TB is just making new colors.

This looks like someone locked some ToughBuilt containers and some Sortimo containers in a dark closet.

I don’t have any complaints about that, mind you.

    Hey everybody! First time posting.

I’m excited for StackTech to come out with their other items, and this is a pretty cool look, but I think this is a reference to Super Nintendo. It’s the same color scheme, and the Super Nintendo was a 16-bit system. This would be a lot of fun, but this might just be a good April Fools joke.

Stuart, thank you for doing all this hard work on this site. It’s really helped me find the tools I need for my little projects at the right price.

I would be happy if they would make available the items they have now. The closest Lowe’s is 28 miles away and they carry very few Toughbuilt items. I have ordered a couple Toughbuilt tools off Amazon. I do not know of any other stores that carry them.

The problem with this stack boxes is the draw.
Too narrow, at least 4-5 inches, compared with dimension of the box itself.
That 45 degree angle corners do not allow to fit a larger draw.
Same thing for other different brands.

I purchased a Toughbuilt rolling miter saw cart a while ago. They don’t seem to sell them anymore. But i noticed Walmart sells a Channelock version that looks identical(except the color scheme). Maybe Channelock purchased the rights for it.

Toughbuilt already sells a couple of coolers ( ‎TB-B1-C-70 ) in a very similar colorway (white with gray rails), so it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to think that they have actually produced at least prototypes of their main boxes in white.

I just heard that Toughbuilt products are going to be available through a multi level marketing platform soon. I’m looking forward to buying in early, so I’m closer to the top of the pyramid, I mean multi level. Look out Dewalt and Milwaukee, your days are numbered!

Shut up and take my money! Seriously, though – not only does this colorway look amazing but if it was the start of made to order custom Stacktech boxes then I think they’d be on to something. You can already customize Systainers in just about any color combination and I’d love to see other modular boxes provide that service.

Add a taller single drawer, a good size double drawer, put some finish top surface on it, replace the pink with blue
    => sell like hotcakes.
