ToughBuilt GelFit Knee Pads TBL-KP-G3

ToughBuilt GelFit Knee Pads

ToughBuilt describes their thigh-support knee pads as setting “the new benchmark for all-day kneeling ergonomics, comfort, and functionality.”

These knee pads are model TBL-KP-G3. I reviewed ToughBuilt’s nearly-identical model TB-KP-G3 knee pads last year, and had great things to say about them.

The TB knee pads have a hook and loop closure with quick-adjust elastic strap, and these TBL look to only have a hook and loop closure. If you want the TB model knee pads like the ones I reviewed, they cost $13 more per pair.

It’s not clear to me how this model (TBL-CT-82-16) differs from the identical-looking model sold outside of Lowe’s (TB-CT-82-16). I bought the Lowe’s model and am quite pleased with the quality.

I snagged the TB work table when it was $69 and the digital angle gauge, along with a few pouches. All have been winners but particularly the work table/stand…it’s a great size and super stable. I set it up just to see how it worked and then saw no reason to fold it up.

I did as well, but my wife snagged it to give me as a Christmas gift, so I haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Glad to hear your ringing endorsement!

I picked up one of those 9-in torpedo levels around Black Friday. I am very happy with it. It’s solidly built, it’s lightweight, it has magnets on it, and the location of the vials is well thought out, there are even slots cut so you can view the vials from odd angles.

Checkpoint used to be our go-to for torpedo levels – but at less than 1/2 the price ($20 vs, $45) – I’d probably give these a try.

Wish Lowe’s didn’t have a shipping minimum, I’ll have to order those knives for store pickup. Low grade price for what I expect is a well engineered, albeit basic, medium grade tool. I’ve been wanting more general purpose knives to keep around.

The folding knife looks odd, but we’re not buying for looks.

Those work tables were a great deal at $69 and are rock solid. I like it much better than the similar DeWalt offering. Would definitely buy another if the price went back down!

I ordered the XXL 18″ rolling bag, and it arrived last week. Besides being exactly what I expected, I’m pleased that the telescoping handle is sturdy and tall! No bending over slightly while walking, as I’ve had with a few others.

My only disappointment with the handle is that, because it’s very wide, it’s too wide to fit through the “handle slots” on backpacks and other luggage for rolling around airports. But I’ve found a carabiner on top and bottom of the bag can attach to the ToughBuilt case.

I use the XL (18″) rolling tool bag as a flight case for various control/communications/fiber tools and items when doing engineering site visits for power systems installations.

It works great, and it’s nice to have the hubs on the front for a couple of tool pouches in case I need to bring some tools around site. I also stuff 4 to 5 Plano 3700 cases upright inside the main pouch for small parts. The main zipper works for a TSA lock.

So far, a solid piece of kit for airline travel. I only wish I got the XXL instead.
