New Wera Screwdriver and Wrench Set Deals at Amazon (12/11/19)

Dec 11, 2019 Stuart 24 Comments

If you buy something through our links, ToolGuyd might earn an affiliate commission.

Over at Amazon, they have a couple of new Wera tool deals. There’s no information about when the promos will end, or how limited supplies might be.

Wera Kraftform Kompakt Screwdriver EDC Set

First, the Wera Kraftform Kompakt 25 multi-bit screwdriver is on sale for $27.27. This is probably my favorite Wera tool, or at least the running is so close between this and my Wera ratchet that I can’t tell which one I couldn’t ever part with.

It comes with a removable, extending, and locking bit holder, and has internal storage for the 6 included screwdriver bits.

You also get a belt pouch, which is handy. I don’t think I’ve ever worn this on my belt, but I have used the belt loop to hold an adjustable wrench for a compact on-the-go tool kit.

The price has bee lower, but it’s usually quite a bit higher. I think this is a good deal. If you’re on the fence, you might have to wait until next July’s Prime Day for the next noteworthy deal or discount.

Wera 6pc Insulated Screwdriver Set

They also have this Wera 6pc insulated screwdriver set on sale for $23.89, which is a little less than I paid for my set during a 2018 Prime Day deal.

You get 2 Phillips (#1, #2) and 4 slotted (2.5, 3.5, 4.0, 5.5 mm) screwdrivers.

The handles are tested to 10,000V and rated to provide safety when working around voltages up to 1000V. You should of course de-energize circuits before working on them, with screwdrivers like these meant to be secondary precautions just in case.

They’re comfortable and in my opinion trustworthy.

The drivers have feature lasertip tech on the tips, which helps to prevent fastener slipping.

Wera Joker Wrench Set 8pc Inch Sizes

Lastly, there’s a deal on this Wera 8pc imperial Joker ratcheting wrench set. The set comes with wrench sizes from 5/16″ thru 3/4″ in 1/16″ increments.

This set, model 05020012001, seems to be priced at $144 to $200 elsewhere. On Amazon, the set is currently discounted to $130.56.

I can’t find a “deal page,” but Amazon’s Wera storefront page helped me identify the Joker wrench deal. Please let us know if you find any other Wera tools on sale!!

A bit off topic (my apologies) – but if you are looking for wrenches and sockets – ZORO is giving 20% off on Proto – using code GOWER

I thought that promo ended, as the prices on some of the SKUs went up recently, and then only the items mentioned here dropped even lower.

For insulated screwdrivers, that fat blade was a problem for me, until Wiha came out with their SlimLine blades. Wera has Slim too.

Wera has slimline versions too just without the lasertip. Just like many other brands.

I scored the Wera screwdriver, but was the Easter Egg limited edition stainless steel version. Amazon dropped the price to $30 last week and couldn’t pass it up. The egg it came in is pretty cool for tool merch.

I believe that driver is going to be under the xmas tree, though it may have been a similar model I ordered. So many models and new to premium tools.

Would love a set of those wrenches in metric and sae if they also had a flex head … as a few of my unknown brands are getting iffy. At the premium price however, can’t justify it for my needs and use.

I got that Kompakt multidriver set for my brother, and I have to say, it is nifty AF. Locking bitholders are underrated, in my view. If only it ratcheted (sigh). It seems like it wouldn’t be hard to make a ratcheting handle which that removable shaft could pop right into.

I’ve mentioned it before, and it drives me crazy. With Wera, you get two out of three:
      • In-handle bit storage
      • Extendable/removable holder
      • Ratcheting

Every combination of two has a representative, but there’s nothing with all three. Come out with that, Wera, and my venerable SSDMR4B will finally be in trouble!

Same observation, wanting to invest in my one screwdriver to beat all screwdrivers, it took me a while to dig and search through the models. ( new to wera, wiha, … )

So why do you need a telescoping ratcheting screwdriver? Why not buy a ratcheting screwdriver that has a removable blade then. Xiaomi and Wiha have one called the 8 in 1 with all three features. 36 tooth.

I picked up the Kompakt 25 last year around this time for couple bucks cheaper and I absolutely love it. Small enough to not be uncomfortable in pocket around the house and i personally really like the ergonomics. It’s my first and only Wera tool so far and I would definitely recommend it.

that were driver is a must have tool. i picked several of them on clearance at a hardware store a few years back. far cheaper than that price but if i didn’t have one i would.

someone mentioned the hard handle snap-on a few posts back. a nice driver for sure but i have both and the wera wins. the adjustable/removeable/locking shaft beats the non removable ratcheting. the handle and bit storage only make it better.

You may like the 27RA or the Pistol RA, in that case. The 27RA is my junk-drawer screwdriver that covers 90%+ of household chores without needing to go searching for a bit. The Snap-On still comes out when there’s serious (dis)assembly though, because it’s in a whole ‘nother class of durability and capability, at least in my opinion.

    And there went $25.

I’ve been wanting some insulated drivers for a while now. I love the laser cut tips on my standard Weras.

    Regarding insulated screwdrivers.
It would have to include square ones ( for outlets, breakers, … )

What good is a screwdriver without Robertson square drive bits? I know Canada is only 10% of the US population ( a mere 35 million market), but many US customers would want square (and Torx) drive bits as well.

Any budding electricians should try buying their (UL/CSA complaint) electrical devices (sockets, switches) in Canada and see just how much better square drive fasteners are in use. They also offer slots if you are a masochist or a BandAid shareholder

Wera sells a version in both insulated and non insulated with Square bits as sets.
