Hot Deal: Wera Torx Screwdriver Set

Wera Torx Screwdriver Set

I’ve been following the price of this Wera 6pc Kraftform Torx screwdriver set, 367/6, in an open browser on my desktop, and earlier today I noticed that its price dropped a little lower, to $17.80. I had been planning to talk about it in a weekend deal post, but this new price increased my sense of urgency.

Update: Price was $18, is now $21. Not as good, but still great.

Update 12/8/17: Price dropped to $16.15 $19. Thanks O’Shaughness!

I thought I should post about the deal, before I scramble to decide if I need a new Torx screwdriver set or not. I could use the T10 and T15 sizes, and probably the T20, as I use these sizes quite often and can definitely use extras or spares. Plus it comes with a rack I’d mount in the basement or garage, for easy retrieval.

The 6pc set comes with these sizes: T10, T15, T20, T25, T30, T40.

The screwdrivers in this set don’t look to have laser-etched tips. If you want such a feature, there is a set that does offer that style, with “holding function” drive tips, but for a hefty bump up in price.

This set, 05028062001, is an incredible bargain, if you’re in need of standalone Torx screwdrivers.

I own a few sets of Wera screwdrivers with Kraftform Plus handles, and love them. Not everyone finds them comfortable, but it’s rare for me to find someone who doesn’t like these screwdrivers or their handles.

(If this is an algorithm-based price reduction, the deal could end without warning, after a certain number of purchases, after a certain duration, or other unpredictable factor.)

I got these for about $20 a few months ago. This is the lowest I’ve seen them, definitely a good price.

I don’t use them often, but when I do need them, they’re so nice that I don’t mind going to the back of the shelf where I keep them. As you said, they’re top-notch screwdrivers.

Personally I definitely wouldn’t worry about the lack of laser etching. Torx drivers don’t tend to slip out like phillips and slotted.

Still a good deal but the price is already going up. Had them and was getting ready to click buy at $18.60 and then added to the cart they went to $20.15. Price now is $20.56. Crazy how fast they update pricing.

The exact same thing happened to me the other day, and now looks to be repeating today.

I just used up (most) of my Sears credit on the Wera Stainless Steel Set of +/- with laser tip. I already have the chisel driver set. Now debating on this set, but would really like to have the laser tipped ones as well, but I might head to z2w’s comment above which I would agree with (but don’t want to admit, haha)

I am hesitant to say “buy them as fast as you can before the price jumps up unexpectedly,” because I) although rare there’s a chance it could be stable for a few days (example), and II) I hate sounding encouraging when affiliate links are involved.

Sometimes these low price “deals” are automatically controlled by Amazon’s pricing algorithm, and things are completely unpredictable.

        Stuart,
No worries. It’s Amazon, if it’s a good deal you have to buy it right there. I’ve missed a few things by waiting and the pricing never dropped back down. I just can’t believe how fast they can and do update pricing. Yeah, pricing is very unpredictable with them but sometimes you luck out! Didn’t even feel pressured with the affiliate link because if you didn’t post it, I wouldn’t have even seen it and you have to get something to run this awesome site!

        Adam,

The lasertip is nice but yeah, very rarely slips so I wouldn’t even worry about it.

Glad to hear it, and you’re welcome!

      I won’t say it’s easy, but it’s worth it.

Picked up a set. Have not been very happy with either of the the USA-made Husky or Craftsman sets I have. Great deal at $16

I think this is an amazon pricing experiment. Logged into amazon I see them for $18.89. Bring up another browser I rarely use and they show as $49.10.

A friendly reminder. Try using camelcamelcamel.com to track prices on Amazon and notify you of price drops. I use it for my Amazon tool buys all the time….it just requires some patience waiting for the price to drop.
