Wilde Wood Handled Screwdrivers

Did you know that Wilde manufacturers wood handled screwdrivers? Neither did I! With advanced plastic materials so readily available these days, it has become fairly difficult to find nice wood-handled screwdrivers. It is of course even harder to find wood-handled drivers that are made in the USA.

This 7-piece set features Wilde’s complete wood-handled driver selection – #1 and #2 Phillips and a range of slotted drivers.

These drivers’ handles look to be less ergonomic and have more of a classic look, but I don’t see that as a bad thing. I have plenty of high-tech polymer and bi-material handles that are great for heavy duty torquing and would love to use drivers like these for more relaxed projects.

At $28 for the 7-piece set, this is a pretty good buy, matching the per-driver cost of this popular Felo wood handled screwdriver set. I can attest that the Felos are quite comfortable to use, but they lack some of the warm feel I was looking for when I ordered a set for home use.

Are the tips on these hollow ground? I like the wood handles they are strong enough for what they should be doing. Not everyone is going to use their tools for things they weren’t meant for. Screw drivers turn screws, that’s it. If you need to pry or strike something get the proper tool.

      I don’t think they’re hollow-ground.

Thanks, I emailed Wilde and they confirmed that they are not hollow ground at the tips. They also said that they are manufactured for them by Grace USA.
