With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Skil has launched a new special edition pink iXO cordless screwdriver. For every pink driver sold through December 31, 2012, Skil will donate 10% ($4) of the drivers’ unit price ($40) to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. Skil has guaranteed a minimum donation of $100,000.
We decided to partner with Skil to give away his and hers iXO cordless screwdriver kits. We will also be reviewing the pink and red iXO drivers later this month, but first wanted to kick off the giveaway.

Prizes: One pink Skil iXO screwdriver set, and one Skil iXO Vivo screwdriver set with wine opener attachment (ToolGuyd preview).
To enter to win, simply leave a comment at the end of this post. You can talk about what you would use this screwdriver for, who you might give the pink or red driver sets to, what you think about the corkscrew attachment, or digress and remark about something else Skil or tool related. You can also tell a joke or share a story.
The pink and red iXO screwdrivers are currently available via Amazon, Lowes, and other major retailers.
Skil’s microsite for the iXO also offers details about their Susan G. Komen donations plans, as well as product information for the iXO tools and attachments.
The giveaway ends October 31st, at which time we will randomly select a winner. Eligibility to win is limited to those who have contiguous USA addresses.

Eight months into our home renovation project, my girl friend’s old Ni-Cad drill holds a charge for about 10 minutes. She could use a Skill pink iXO screwdriver to install the registers, smoke alarms, bathroom accessories, or open a bottle at the end of a long weekend!
Jon "Dozer" Mendoza
I think that I might just have to open the bottle first… then get to work.
We love doing things together. That goes for me and My Wife, as well as me and My Daughter. With my wife, we enjoy working on crafting projects where these small drivers are super handy. The iXO is a great little powerhouse that packs more of a wallop than you might think.
With My Daughter, she always has to do what Daddy does. What better way than laving her be able to use the Princess version right along side daddy.
Thanks for the opportunity to participate… and for a good cause!!
Cameron
sweet. The wife and I can do a lot of screwing with these!
John Sullivan
I won’t fool myself… the pink one will be immediately adopted by my daughter. I’ll be interested to try out the corkscrew, and having the red one nearby would ensure that there is finally a “kitchen drawer” power driver in the house, rather than having to make a run to the workshop for every little project that would be easier with a compact power driver.
livivua chandler
the pink screwdriver will sure make me feel important and handy because of the color I feel it is made for me. Plus it will be like my own tool because I get tired of asking my husband about where he put his
Dan M
I have had my iXO for years and it is still running strong.
Brad Beck
This would be amusing and fun for she and I.
David H
Sweet, my partner is always complaining about how heavy and big my DeWalt driver is. This would give us a pair to play around with. 🙂 LOL, with the wine bottle attachment I might even get to keep one handy in the kitchen!

I wish they make a variable speed, 7.2V LiOn version of this tool…
Jkrl73
But they do – if you live in Europe:

Given my wife’s fear of tools, this would probably go to my 13 yr old daughter…time to learn. 🙂
Cindy Brooks
Finally! A tool that would stay in my tool box. Hubby and grandson would not want to use a pink tool 🙂 They can share the red one!

Rob
come on! my wife might actually want to help!
Corey
Awesome little gift set. I think wine consumption levels may increase dramatically.
Andrew
Big money. Big prizes. I love it!
Wehaf
This would make my projects go so much faster!
Don V
Corkscrew attachment for a good cause.
Javier
All of my drills and screwdrivers are in my storage in tool boxes, it would be nice to have one or two of these little guys in the kitchen cabinet so I wouldn’t have to go into the storage to get a driver. My wife would love the pink one.
I do have a question, what is that attachment under the pink one, is that a right angle attachment?
Tristan
That corkscrew attachment is cool.
Wade
This would make a great gift for my sister and her new husband; especially, since they bought a new house and have all kinds of “little” things to do around the place. Coincidentally, her favorite drink is wine.
Jerry
My sister in law has pink tools. I’d give her one, keep the other for myself.
Harold
the pink screwdriver would be the perfect tool for my wife, who teaches 1st grade and would use it to setup her classroom at the beginning of each school year and throughout. i’d keep the red iXO stashed in the tool box for small odd jobs. great for assembling furniture from that blue/yellow store without wreaking havoc on the particle board, ha!
Urs Frei
The pink one would be a nice present for my assembly manager who owe’s me a new corless drill
Conductor562
I can pretend giving my wife the pink one might shorten my honey do list. In reality I know better.
heftylefty
These are perfect for little tinkerer hands…
The pink gun is for the first brownie who welds a bead with me.
The red gun is for the first girl scout who earns her fabrication badge in my shop.
DaleJR88Fan
My wife and I really enjoy doing home improvement projects together and we are trying to get our daughters into this with us now as they get older. We would use the tools to finish our basement and teach them about tools.
John
build stronger relationship with his & her tools and working on projects together
Rick A
Hi perfect item for my wife who constantly is asking me to use the old twist the cork out of her bottle of wine when she wants to have a glass the pink one with the wine opener attachment would look and be just the accessory for her in the wine cabinet Thank`s oh by the way I am keeping this site just for me .if I win I will not the her from what site it was offered a guy thing
Jake
Probably still won’t get my wife to help, but it will be worth a shot right?
Liam
I’d give the pink one to my mother, whose parkinson’s prevents her from using a manual corkscrew.
Brett Christensen
My 6 year old daughter will be thrilled to know they make such a thing in pink and that she can have one of her very own. It will make tackling projects together even more enticing for her.
Jkrl73
My wife always uses my power tools when I am not looking – now she can have her own. The red one will go to my son, whose 4.8V Ni-Cd screwdriver is less powerful than his hand and can hold a charge for about 3 minutes now.
I’ll stick with light blue (Bosch pro).
Yadda
I lost my way over the past few years. I only purchased corded tools. Winning this would put me back on the path of cordlessness. In addition, my better half would have a tool of her own. Yadda out.
Shawn
these would certainly make those furniture assembly projects go along further and no arguing over which driver belongs to whom.
Jeff Hirsch
pink one – definitely goes to my daughter
Erin
This is so much smaller than the current screwdriver I have. This could come in really handy.
John
This is a perfect way to get my wife to help me finish the bathroom remodel….
Chris Manacop
would be good for around the house projects
jeff
Nice Many uses and we can store it in the kitchen drawer
Richard
With a household full of women I don’t see much chance of me actually using it if I win, but I appreciate the his/hers combo. It slightly improves my odds. Thanks Skil, for donating to a worthy cause.
Scott M
Looks like a great little driver. Id love to give it a try! Thanks for the offer!!
mike
Screwing is good, power-screwing is great!
Eric

Dave

metaleltr
The best tool is a free tool!
Surly Tom
Pink tools? My wife likes pink tools. I’m too manly for pink tools. I’m going back to my wine spritzer and quiche.

Something that will help my wife screw.
Outlawmws
His and hers screwdrivers:
Her: You gave me a what?
Him: “What’s the matter dear, I thought you liked screwing?”
walt gasowski
I guess this would give me another reason to buy my wife a bottle of wine
El Guapo
Finally – the manufacturer sanctioned marriage of alcoholic beverages and power tools. I need this technology!!!!
Josh T
In it to win it for the missus!
greg crouch

Scotto

Dusten
Im in for the win. Woot!
douglas kwan
i would use the pink one just so my coworkers wont steal it
William
My Wife has been looking for something less “MANly” than my tools. This fits the bill perfectly!
Bruce
If I win these my GF can’t complain since she’d get the pink one!
nate pinion
Although my past experiences with skil tools have been less than satisfying I wouldnt mind giving that little guy with the right angle attachment a shot up under a dash board.
Riley
Cool offer, these would be cool around the house
John
Very nice screwdrivers
Kenny
My wife wanted one of these because it was pink. I’m not sure what she’ll do with it.
Jim
This pink driver would be great for my grand daughter shes 8 years old and loves helping in the shop.
Jim
Christopher Cassan
I have a girl at work who personalized almost anything she can, including tools, with the colour pink. With this she wouldn’t have to do anything to it.
jason
id just keep both for myself. 😀
Michael Leader
My wife has been grabbing anything in pink since her mom got breast cancer. I’m sure she would love it if I surprised her with a new drill.
Jim
I have been stocking my daughter’s toolbox since she moved in with boyfriend. This will make a great addition!
Bill Strobel
Hope I win, it will beat using my old pen knife as a screwdriver.
James C
I think the corkscrew attachment would be a big hit at my upcoming wedding!
John Fleisher
I have the older version of this driver with the yellow direction switch, which truly sucks. Hopefully the new version is better!
Dan O
I’ve had mine since they first introduced, great driver. Wife would love the pink version.
C. Warren
Need a Skil driver to complement my Skil circular saw. Wife would get the pink one, obviously!
Brian
Love to buy one for a christmas present for my mother. After the drawing, I might just go out and get one.
Joshua
Would be excellent to have around the house for projects.
Dan
I had a skil and lost it in a move…would love to have a replacement. Could use the pink one to teach my wife how to screw…stuff into the wall. Badump..dump.
Jamie
Girl friend would love it
Jimmy
Best tool ever for audio install
Don
I also lost mine in a move. Mine came with a nice right angle adapter.
Steve Van Der Heide
I am definitely digging the corkscrew attachment and the pink driver may even spark some interest in my wife to help out around the house!
John
Drill baby Drill
Robert Cummings
The wife recently said she wants to get involved in helping with home projects, and asked for her own small set of tools. It would be nice to have our own cordless drivers.
Corkscrew adapter? Hmmm, that might be the best feature yet!
James Bartlett
yeah his and her drivers :-). Maybe she’ll let me buy more tools
Susie Sylvester
After hearing “I’ll do it this weekend” and that weekend never comes, I decided & learned if I want something done I’ll have to do it myself. My mom even bought me a Skil Saw, although that scares me a bit (she was supposed to buy me a Scroll saw as my brother had suggested) lol big difference, seeing as I am a whopping maybe 5′ tall girly girl. Anyway, I could use a new screwdriver. Love the pink one!
Karen
We could’ve really used a cordless screw driving when my husband of 32 years and I decided to replace the ceiling fan above our bed, or a video camera so the rest of the family could’ve had a good chuckle! Being the agile old couple that we are ( may I add alittle on the larger side) we decided we did not need to move the bed and use the safety of a ladder. Oh no, we decided to just stand on the bed for the hour and half it took to old farts to change out one ceiling fan! It wouldn’t have taken quit so long but we had to take a few giggle breaks hoping the neighbors were not watching thru the window wonder what we were doing now. But all is well, fan is up, remote is working and no permanent bodily injuries. Life is good!

I agree with supporting healthy breasts.
