ToolGuyd Giveaway: Skil His and Hers iXO Cordless Screwdriver Kits

Oct 5, 2012 Stuart 95 Comments

If you buy something through our links, ToolGuyd might earn an affiliate commission.

Skil Pink iXO Breast Cancer Awareness Month

With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Skil has launched a new special edition pink iXO cordless screwdriver. For every pink driver sold through December 31, 2012, Skil will donate 10% ($4) of the drivers’ unit price ($40) to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. Skil has guaranteed a minimum donation of $100,000.

We decided to partner with Skil to give away his and hers iXO cordless screwdriver kits. We will also be reviewing the pink and red iXO drivers later this month, but first wanted to kick off the giveaway.

Prizes: One pink Skil iXO screwdriver set, and one Skil iXO Vivo screwdriver set with wine opener attachment (ToolGuyd preview).

Skil His and Hers Cordless Screwdriver Kits

To enter to win, simply leave a comment at the end of this post. You can talk about what you would use this screwdriver for, who you might give the pink or red driver sets to, what you think about the corkscrew attachment, or digress and remark about something else Skil or tool related. You can also tell a joke or share a story.

The pink and red iXO screwdrivers are currently available via Amazon, Lowes, and other major retailers.

Skil’s microsite for the iXO also offers details about their Susan G. Komen donations plans, as well as product information for the iXO tools and attachments.

The giveaway ends October 31st, at which time we will randomly select a winner. Eligibility to win is limited to those who have contiguous USA addresses.

Eight months into our home renovation project, my girl friend’s old Ni-Cad drill holds a charge for about 10 minutes. She could use a Skill pink iXO screwdriver to install the registers, smoke alarms, bathroom accessories, or open a bottle at the end of a long weekend!

I think that I might just have to open the bottle first… then get to work.

We love doing things together. That goes for me and My Wife, as well as me and My Daughter. With my wife, we enjoy working on crafting projects where these small drivers are super handy. The iXO is a great little powerhouse that packs more of a wallop than you might think.

With My Daughter, she always has to do what Daddy does. What better way than laving her be able to use the Princess version right along side daddy.

Thanks for the opportunity to participate… and for a good cause!!

I won’t fool myself… the pink one will be immediately adopted by my daughter. I’ll be interested to try out the corkscrew, and having the red one nearby would ensure that there is finally a “kitchen drawer” power driver in the house, rather than having to make a run to the workshop for every little project that would be easier with a compact power driver.

All of my drills and screwdrivers are in my storage in tool boxes, it would be nice to have one or two of these little guys in the kitchen cabinet so I wouldn’t have to go into the storage to get a driver. My wife would love the pink one.

I do have a question, what is that attachment under the pink one, is that a right angle attachment?

We could’ve really used a cordless screw driving when my husband of 32 years and I decided to replace the ceiling fan above our bed, or a video camera so the rest of the family could’ve had a good chuckle! Being the agile old couple that we are ( may I add alittle on the larger side) we decided we did not need to move the bed and use the safety of a ladder. Oh no, we decided to just stand on the bed for the hour and half it took to old farts to change out one ceiling fan! It wouldn’t have taken quit so long but we had to take a few giggle breaks hoping the neighbors were not watching thru the window wonder what we were doing now. But all is well, fan is up, remote is working and no permanent bodily injuries. Life is good!
